It's amazing that anyone could possibly be so blase' about the most beautiful landscapes in the entire world! But I guess if you've seen nothing but, you don't know how lucky you are. I grew up and lived all my life on the prairies, in the most boring of places, and the dullest and ugliest cities, with the most narrow minded and boring people that ever lived. So to me, places like NW Ontario, and all of BC, especially the west coast, are so incredibly beautiful and diverse that they take my breath away. They literally bring me to tears every time I see them, even if it's just a picture or video. Although I have been to a lot of BC many times, escpecially many times on the coast. The breathtaking beauty just overwhelms me every time I see it, in any way. I would give anything, absolutely anything, to spend 1 year exploring it. May be the reason it makes me so emotional is because I'm a 64 year old woman, broke and alone. All I ever wanted to do was to have 1 year to explore BC, but it clearly ain't gonna happen. Thank the gods for YT. It's better than nothing.

I used to commercial fish back in the early 90s when I was teen. My parents weren't too big on me being around in the summers. So I was put on a boat to go up north gill netting. I hated it. But it was beautiful. I was too young to realize the foundation of what it was doing to me. Im glad I had that experience from 1990 to 1994 while I was in high school. It really is amazing up north. Its a good thing its difficult to get to. Because if it was easy, it would be ruined because it really is that beautiful up there. As always, amazing content, production and editing.

@@6point1hemiWoah, Woah, Woah! Let's make it clear. The mission of this trip was to film, i was there to support the mission. Shaun absolutely did his fair share of work. He cooked, he cleaned, he organized a whole bunch of things that needed to be done. But most importantly it was filming everything. He can't operate a chainsaw and a drone at the same time, so when he was using the saw he wasn't filming it. You can't judge someone in a video for what they didn't do, because maybe you just didn't see it.

And they didn't even show SO MUCH of Haida Gwai! For example the real totem poles. They were not made for tourists, with perhaps 1 or 2 more recent exceptions. They are real historic totem poles, made for the spiritual and family purposes of the ancient First Nations People. I couldn't go there without spending at least 2 days seeing the totem poles and other ancient sites. Dustin's videos are great! His channel is "destination adventure" with a space but no "@". Thank you for this beautiful showcase of these gorgeous lands. Indigenous languages, especially the languages of nations around British Columbia actually don’t have a word for “wilderness”. Wilderness would mean a desolate unruly land which needs to be tamed. There is no word for that because the land is home. There is life everywhere. The land is not something that needs to be tamed, the land takes care of us so it’s our duty to take care of it back. Pre-contact every inch of the lands were cared for. Each Nation, and each Nations clans/tribes would take care of their respective territories. Once the crown forcefully took over the lands they haven’t cared for them properly. Hundreds of wildfires every year, floods, garbage left around campsites, salmon dying… The land is sad. The waters are sad. But this video shows that beauty still exists! To me this video gives me motivation to fight for the land and the waters. To take care of them, and keep them beautiful and pristine for the next generations. Thank you ❤️

Outstanding video! Your content is always great but this was epic in every sense of the word! What a beautiful country we live in. You’re inspiring me to get out and explore more of it. Thanks for what you do!

My eldest daughter worked at a fishing resort cooking at Haida Guia for a season and I still believe it's one of her BEST memories!!!! Lots and Lots to discover in Beautiful British Columbia.!! The natives don't like it if you disrupt their land, or even take an Eagle feather from there.

This has to be on you top 3 or maybe 2 places to explore. this one is 👌👌👌. I don’t know how many times I watched this one. you knocked it out of the park the way you edited this video this. plus I like her on your videos and the dog is sooooooooo laid back. hahahaha Plus I think you need to be sponsored by these truck companies cause you don’t hold back on them you have to be an ambassador for them if someone is looking for a Ram or Gladiator truck they should just watch you videos haha the companies should be playing your videos in there show room floor and the sales people don’t have to answer any questions they just say watch the video hahaha and all your questions will be answered hahahaha can’t wait to see what you have planned for next year 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Wow beautiful. I did a smaller version similar to this in Australia 14 years ago on Stocton beach NSW. You could only get to a village called Tin City built in the sand dunes driving on the hard sand during low tide. It was too dangerous to drive threw the sand dunes for fear of driving into a sand covered lagoon. Tin city was built by hippies and there are no services there. They use solar power/ deep cycle batteries and they truck the water in and pump water into water tanks on stilts so the water is gravity fed. toilets are portable bio degradable. I still cherrish the trip. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Now i am retired i am thinking of doing this again.

When talking about Haida Gwaii it is important to say the Gwaii portion to differentiate from the Haida themselves!

Damn…. I’ve been a subscriber for a while. You are the best at telling a story. You’ve captured places my eyes will never get to see. The places you and your friends get to experience are second to none. But this one…. I cannot put words to what I’m feeling and I’m not even there. Well done!!!

This place passed my port and starboard windows many times years ago. I'd seen it on the charts, and could see the thin silver line of a beach to the north. I always wanted to see it closer. Now I have. Thank You.

Gretchen was a great addition to the trip. Once again, the filming and editing was amazing on this. Could almost have broken it down into a two or three part episode.

Commenting again because I’m watching it again, there’s wild cows out there, and as for our winter weather… normal is 100kmh winds, sideways rain, when we do get snow it’s usually only a few days then it’s gone.

Such an amazing episode - Gretchen is also so cool. The salt water on the beach had my classic car brain screaming but for such an epic trip who cares! Great to see people using their rigs as intended 🙂
