I disagree; Protest is just, but if you are responsible and aware that things get out of hand you have to back down. Be aware that in islamic countries people usualy have a high affinity to islamic dogmas. That played part in the 1979 Iran Revolution and is 1 reason why the 2009 protest and the now occuring protests are doomed to fail. In Algier democratic elections lead to the win of islamists which was cancelled by a military coup and a 20 year civil war. The removal of dictators in Iraq and Lybia (under Obama and Hillary :( ) lead to more bloodshed. Egypt elections have also been won by Islamists but were overturned by the military. Syria by now is a full scale example of things that can go wrong, there are different legends how it started but they aggree that protests got violent. Have the protest stopped they could have prevented a civil war. Another example: destabiliztion of the power structures enabled the manifestation of ISIS. Yup, you can blame the U.S. but most was done by arabs to arabs and muslims to muslims, like support for the FSA by Saudi Arabia and others... Oh and Yemen, self made mess, proxy war between Iran and saudi arabia but they find easily people (muslims, arabs) who are willing to kill for their cause. Btw: you see any pattern in these events?

The problem of the Arab world and more widely the Islamic world which hold it from reaching advancements in science, technology, economics, industry, politics, military prowess etc is not the conflict with the Zionist movement which started after the First World War. Rather these problems have been present for centuries and have led to the Arab and Islamic world’s civilizational decline and for them to be eclipsed by western civilization and powers. The religious parts of America, for instance, is mostly the south, and the south is the poorest area in the USA, at least citizen wise, with those old confederate states. So even if a nation like america can be well developed, it can still house religious groups, which they do, which often mean the area is generally poorer than those less religious. the average citizen income is pretty low in many of the religious parts of the south in the USA. And lets not forget that islamic nations like Saudi Arabia and many others dont even bother differentiating between state and religion. As of 2010, nations like Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Yemen still has stoning to death as viable excecution option. And since most islamic, like most christian nations did hundreds of years ago, have a main focus on God rather than the person worshipping (lack of renaissance) they will end up passing laws that are discriminatory to their own population. Many Islamic nations refuse to go with the modern flow, and keep having god as focus, rather than humanity. its not uncommon that the man still has the last say in the house, with the woman being submissive. its also apparent that Saudi Arabia only recently allowed women to drive cars, and they even released an app where you can figure out where your "wife" is. Their culture of not differentiating between state and religion holds them back, because religious nations in general often arent the best at upholding human rights. because religious nations tends to have god as their focus, not people. In many middle east nations like saudi arabia, its not your own personal choice to uphold and follow Islam strictly. its a state issue that they make sure that you do. In many of those regions you cant even buy Alcohol openly, because the state doesnt want you to drink as a muslim, and westerners arent supposed to encourage drinking either. Even though religion is supposed to be a personal thing. This much is a fact. if you find facts discriminatory, you have a problem. Muslims in Europe tends to be much better well behaved (in the non ghetto areas at least), because they have gotten a touch of democracy and human rights by living in it, rather than those that live in constant dictatorship, god as focus and basically living in a capsule from 1700s, where you still stone people to death. There is a reason why people that arent even from Syria or actual war ravaged nations come to Europe. its also to get a better life in Europe where they know the focus is on humanity, not on god. they know we have human rights, and we provide basic needs for our own. Many people also come here simply for the search of a better life which their own religious nation could not provide.

The level those books teach are in par with what law school students learn. China for example began to teach it in their schools because they recognized how powerful that set of books was. They also happen to be one of the smartest people in the world too. Coincidence? And i would describe the things that happen in the arab world pretty much as the video did, with minor changes. I doubt that it has anything to do with a discriminating quote from a fantasy book, its more about their outlook on the world, religion and inability to cope.

@David Sapienza an ancient being talking through a burning bush, sending plagues, revival and forming the earth in 7 days sounds like fiction to me. And using a book with no proof for what it claims to argue, thats illogical, my friend. Also, being an atheist does not make you smarter, but neither will getting molested by a priest as a boy.
