Sometime would you please comment on how trash and recycling is dealt with in France? In videos, I have not noticed people setting out trash containers for collection. Is trash collection once a week? Do the French rigorously sort/separate recyclables? The streets in Nancy look quite clean -- are people generally good with putting trash in proper containers?

@ Thank you! I overlooked that one and will watch again. I have an AirBnB in Metz May 10-29 and intend to visit Nancy, Strasbourg, at least one of the small villages you recommended, and also the Lorraine American Cemetery. I am trying to learn as much French and everyday French culture as I can so that I blend in seamlessly and not be "that American tourist." Your videos are so helpful -- many thanks.

One thing that struck me last year in a Carrefour Express in a centre of a city similarly sized as Nancy was the fact there was no cheese whatsoever despite the fact it had a large refrigerated section. Still wondering why that may be. Any ideas ? If you are looking for really strange chip flavours, consider visiting the UK. Fancy some lamb-mint crisps ?

hmm that is strange !! i've never seen that 0_o and oh wow ! lamb-mint crisps sound interesting haha have you tried them? thoughts? thanks for watching:) :)

@ I tried them but I remain unconvinced... In contrast, a flavour I have not yet tried is Mackie's Haggis, Neeps, & Tatties Crisps from Scotland.

Yeah I wasn’t a fan of Nancy at first either but I’ve found the hidden gems and have come to like it :) I’m glad you were able to remember the good you experienced as a student :))

i gave up on your video tour about one/fourth of the way because of the volume of your music compared to your voice....had to keep using the volume control to adjust it..... i clicked on your video to watch your tour of a French supermarket not to hear your fav music choices.

That's odd. I haven't had that experience at all. Maybe your browser settings?
