As always, you are massively entertaining and informative, thank you. It looks like it's snowing outside and yet your stove is not lit?, and your feline put in a brief appearance at the beginning, damn cat hair!! I had a brief 'excursion' with 4x5 but my pictures sometimes can only be found a long way from the car in rough territory so medium format does the job and keeps the overall weight down. From the land 'down under' of floods and fires!! 😊

one tip, with the 250 mm lens, use an "adaptor board" to convert the 4x5" board into an 8x10" size, then, keep the adaptor in the 8x10 kit, so you can easily switch systems without the "O-DEAH" moments, when you forget something!!, that's the great advantage of say Linhof or Wista, etc. lens boards, they are standardised sizes, and there are adaptors made to fit many other makes, as ALL LF lenses are universal, NOT brand specific, as only the BOARD has to fit!! ( assuming of coarse that the lens covers the format).

Well done Kip. That umbrella idea is indeed awesome. Yes, the Pentax Digital Spotmeter is indeed stupid money these days. I love mine and use it for medium format but for my LF shooting it's usually the Sekonic L758DR because it's a little easier for Zone System stuff for figuring out contrast ranges when I accidentally remember that it's important.

Fun video. Thanks. I too carry ice spikes I've never used - it is never icy. Also I carry old CDs for soft ground because I saw it on KZbin. Never used those either. My question is: How far do you walk from your car with your 8x10 on average?

Usually a short walk from wherever I parked. Most of my 8x10ing was done via car on road trips. See something. Stop. Explore. But there was that one time in the winter where I brought a sled and drug it behind me for five miles

Just watched this for the second time. Always nice to see how well you've thought things out. And there aren't many Wehman cameras on YT. That last item, though, the pop-up tent, is it made by Black Jacket, too?

Since you mentioned the Wehmann in a previous Video im looking for the Ultra Light Version ( the one that looks like cheese ) but sadly they are super hard to find in Europe. :(
