A couple things that I have that I find really important for my packing. Clips/Pegs for helping keep music stable, especially if outdoors. An endpin stopper... hell get 2, someone will forget one. Lastly, some super glue, I've already sliced one of my left hand finger tips the day of a concert and it was a life saver.

Hi Daniel, thanks for your comment! That's true about the rock stop, I don't even have one packed these days due to the pandemic, but normally I would! That's probably a good idea about the super glue. In terms of clips and pegs, I've gotta say that's one of the best aspects of playing music off of a tablet, no more headaches with wind!

Would you mind to share more details of the ear plugs for hearing protection that you used in this video? I actually need it for the orchestra rehearsal, thank you.

I noticed the rubber tubes you have on your bows, could you please tell us where did you get them? or did you made them yourself (if so, what measurements did you use?)? I have been trying to get some for a while now but I can't seem to find them. Keep up the great work!

Hi, thanks for your comment! The violin shop I go to actually had them and put them on for me, but I've heard from other players that you can find the right type of tubing at some medical supply shops. Hope that helps!

hahaha this is one of my fav types of musician video to watch! I have the EXACT same case. would you travel with the case or do you get a outer case when flying and checking in?

Hi, thanks so much for your comment! I've only travelled with the Brack case when I bought an extra plane seat for it....in that capacity it worked great, I felt very confident the whole time. Personally I wouldn't use this case alone if I had to check my instrument as baggage, I think an outer flight case would be a safer option.

You might reconsider those ‘posture pegs’ since you have to have a key that you can’t afford to lose. I wouldn’t put those ugly things on a cello you use or an expensive one. Much better go with stub pegs. They are made by Pegheads who also make geared or mechanical pegs. I have had those on my cf cello ever since I bought it. I just acquired a traditional cello and plan to install those pegs.

Hello! I am looking for a new case, and have trouble finding comparisons of high-end, lesser known case makers like Brack and Stevenson. Do you know how they compare to the high-end cases from a brand such as Gewa? Also, for pencils, Palominos are fantastic, I'd also recommend that you try the Tombow 2558 "B" !

Hi! I would definitely recommend the Brack case. It has withstood a lot and is very light and protective. It is a bit bulkier in size than some other cases even though it is light. I don't know anything about Stevenson, but I do have a bit of experience with Gewa and I generally like and trust pretty much anything they make. A final case that is used and trusted by many top players is by Accord, also very light and protective. And I'll definitely try the Palomino you mentioned, thanks! Hope that helps!

Where did you get the finger guard?
@adultcello
@adultcello 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! The rubber guard on my bow is actually just rubber tubing. I got mine at my local violin shop, and they installed it for me as well. I've heard you can find this kind of tubing at most medical supply stores. Hope that helps!
