I'm a labor and delivery nurse and this was a great video on what to pack! Many of these things we will also provide at the hospital i.e nipple cream, diapers, wipes, etc. but you're not wrong if you want to bring your own either. I am so glad to see my favorite KZbin family had a safe delivery and that Sana and Yousef are both healthy!

@@Rubberducky24688 We don't charge for anything but we provide mesh panties, pads (or adult diapers), peri bottles, witch hazel pads, dermaplast, abdominal binders for our mommas who have had c-sections, ice packs built for panties, blankets/swaddlers for babies, breast pumps, nipple cream, nipple shields, diapers, wipes, hats, bulb suctions, baby soap, baby moisturizer, baby combs, along with anything mom would need in terms of shampoo/body wash/comb/toothbrushes/toothpaste. We also provide a hospital gown/robe to wear and they open in the front to allow moms easy access for breast feeding. Moms can take all of this with them except the linen and breast pump machine. That being said... it's very expensive to have a baby in the US since we don't have "free" healthcare.

Alhamdulillah, I’m also infertile, due to a brain tumor too close to the pituitary gland, master of all hormones, since about 14 ish, though not married yet. I also watched this to live a little vicariously through her experience. 😅

Your video popped up in my feed, so I decided to watch it while preparing the nighttime meds I administer through my port. Between kidneys that hate me and a liver that hates me, I feel like I love in the hospital and I overpack, too! I figure that if I have to be there for any length of time, I might as well surround myself with familiar things. The Fruit Loops made ma laugh because I always bring a box of cereal to munch on. 😂 I love the little hat and swaddle with his name on it. So sweet! Praying for you and baby as you get through these final weeks and giving birth. Congratulations on your new son!

I've never heard of birth plans until the last few years. I am a 67 year old mom of two, one 42 and the other 37. My oldest was a foot first breech who tried to be born in my doctor's office; thankfully his building was connected to the hospital and I delivered her in 3 hours and 20 minutes. My son weighed 10 pounds 8 ounces and was 23 1/2 inches long, he came into this world in 1 hour 45 minutes. I guess my birth plan would have been very simple, "Sneeze and give birth"

Correct. We always say we have been blessed with four children but when we refer to worldly things like bringing a baby home from the hospital we say we have 3 earthside babies.

In New York they would not let me eat or drink anything the whole time I was giving birth until a while after … inshallah if I have another, I would like to sneak some dates because there is research about the benefits during and after birth, reducing bleeding and other benefits. The always discreet diapers are amazing. I used them when my water broke and post delivery.. when the epidural wears off, you still take time to get back in control of your urine business. At that point, you need a diaper for sure to avoid any accidents.

Plenty of modern standard arabic resources online. Practice daily and make it a part of your life. They have some dialects you could try to learn like Egyptian Arabic for example. I don’t think the Salehs speak Arabic fluently. They just learn it from their Islamic scriptures from The Qur’an.
