I love my Kate Spade tote I got from Sam's Club. It's bright pink and carries a lot. I have had it since May and surprisingly it has held up so well. I also use it when I travel. I am a substitute teacher and since I am always in a different classroom it helps that I have a big bag to carry my planner, pen bag, makeup bag, some stickers for students as rewards, my journal, and the occasional story book.

Fun video Ashley! For as long as I can remember, I've used a Longchamps Le Pilage Large Tote with the longer handles as my work bag. It holds an amazing amount of items yet when empty weighs almost nothing. I typically go for the classic colors, black, navy or chocolate brown. It does wear on the bottom corners after some time, but I love using it.

I switched from a satchel style bag to a backpack for commuting and use a 'Status Anxiety' brand 'People Like Us' backpack. I absolutely love it because it keeps my hands free when I'm on the train! It fits my 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina in it perfectly.

I have the Lo and Sons' OMG bag as my Flight Attendant work bag and it is amazing! Definitely switch over! The nylon material holds up so well! Plus, they're always having a sale.

I use ClaryCalm too! It makes such a difference for me. I was able to stop taking antibiotics for acne because of it. I sleep better, and during that time of the month, less cramps, less mood swings, etc. It's doing more than you realize!

I have a Herschel messenger bag on my wish list. I have a MK leather bag, but it's heavy even before I put everything in there. I am on the road a lot, so it's nice to have everything I need in my bag within easy reach. If I put them in different bright bags, I can reach in and pull them out easier. I also think you would love the Staedtler triplus fineliner pens if you like the Stabilo pen. Isn't it amazing what a difference it makes when you find the right combination of writing utensil and paper? It's like Harry Potter's magic wand. I like Pilot Hi-Tec-C 0.4 mm gel pens and Kokuyo Campus notebooks for taking notes, and I've gone through so many phases with planners over the years. For a long time I loved the Moleskine monthly planners, but my current planner is the undated Livework Mon Cahier Journal daily plan which I found at Anthropologie. I like to use the Pentel Graphgear 500 0.3 mm automatic drafting pencil for a really clean minimal look, but I've loved all your plan with me videos, your planner looks gorgeous!

Would 100% recommend looking into a Filson bag for a messenger-style work bag. It's made out of canvas with bridle leather and holds up extremely well with a lifetime warranty.

I use my LeSportsac bag that I won from you in my purse to carry tissues, essential oils, lipsticks and hand cream as well as the Honest spray. It's the perfect size for all of those goodies. I have the Lo & Sons OMG bag and I really like it! I think it would make a great work bag unless your laptop is large. There's a built-in laptop sleeve, but it must be intended to be used with a bare laptop. I have a MacBook Air so it's pretty small as laptops go, and I sort of struggle to get it into the laptop sleeve. It definitely won't fit with my neoprene case on it. Maybe the OG (which I think is bigger) would accommodate something larger.

I work full time and go to graduate school full time and initially I was using the new Madewell Zip Transport tote (I bought it after watching your other what's in my bag video!) but I'm so afraid that I'll ruin the leather with the weight of all my books so I've switched over to using a backpack (which I hate!). I think I might check out the Lo & Sons bags too. They look stylish but also functional!

You should check out Levenger. They make quality real leather bags in classic style. Mine is a saffiano leather one from them, and is sturdy and gorgeous.

Great video - as always, love your aesthetic! If the one bag company you mentioned doesn't work out, I have another Kelly Moore bag that I carry a ton of camera equipment in that's heavy. The bag is leather, and I have had zero issues over I think four years now of it coming apart or pulling from the weight. So if you don't have an objection to leather, perhaps check those out! xx

Do you carry two bags? Im also a nova commuter and i've used a coach tote from the outlets that is a faux leather but it zips at the top. It's also my purse even though i'm searching for a decent sized cross body that i can love all seasons. The tote is awesome i wish i got it in black. I've considered the lo and sons but i think it will make me look like a bag lady i'm short and small. So im considering the michael kors morgan tote (nylon) or the marc jacobs nylon bag.

I love this! I recently bought the Day Designer planner, and I love the concept, but the planner is just too heavy and I don't find it very efficient or easy to carry around in a handbag. I'm a designer on the go, so I need my daily bags to be light. Do you recommend any planners that are thorough AND lightweight? Thanks for this. I always love being nosey and looking in people's bags. Also, major shout outs to you on my September Faves and my recent Eco Haul. They have a great PDF you can download to check it out and even print the whole planner for free, but it isn't as in depth per day as I need. It's beautiful and lightweight but isn't as thorough on a daily basis as I want. Makes me sad.

I'm going on a year with my Lo & Sons OMG bag & I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. My work laptop is a dell is slim 13", I don't carry an obscene amount of things with me (umbrella, small wallet, gloves) & some papers but when I stand the bag up it lurches forward. I wonder if my laptop were lighter I would avoid the slump but I'm really irked about it.

I am absolutely lusting over the tote bags by Dagne Dover, I am hoping to get one for Christmas! They are made of coated canvas and have a designated space for everything, a laptop, a tablet, a water bottle etc. I think you would absolutely love the bag, because I know I have been lusting after it for months. I have seen some people carrying them around by me and they look like they hold up well. I have broken 2 different work bags in the last year because they are not sturdy enough for my work laptop and I am generally rough on bags, but with the Dagne Dover bag being coated canvas, I think it will stand up to my rough use.

The mini doesn't have a larger laptop pocket but it does have a longer strap which I like. Its large enough to hold all my work stuff, daily purse contents, inkwell press planner and still has room to spare. Definitely recommend!

I have the Lo & Sons OMG bag and it is great but I usually only use it for traveling. It is fairly large and more of a carry-on size than every day work bag (for me anyway).
