Good Lord! Very surprising indeed. I'm amazed it can get to 120km/hr. I check and see the official top speed is claimed 135 km/hr from 44 kw motor. The 240 D is 53 kw and claimed top speed 143 km/hr. The 300D is 65 kw, and claimed top speed of 155 km/hr. I guess, as with all engines, much will depend on how well "set up"/ in tune the car is. /The 200D in the road test seems v sprites indeed.

How does this compare to the W124 200d? I’d love to have a manual 124 but I’ll have to import one (to the U.S.) or wait for a previously imported one to come up for sale.

I would thing the w124 200 would run quite a bit better, a more modern motor the OM601

10000 K’s is of course 10000 KM’s, 6000 miles.
