I think the biggest problem Kross has is that he has the tools necessary to be an absolute beast, but I don't feel he ever puts it together unless he's wrestling someone that is on another level. If he's the one leading a match, unless it's a squash, the match feels bland and flavorless

Yeah this is it for me too. Mechanically, he's pretty fucking great (dude can wrestle pretty damn solid, hard hitter, can talk on the mic) but the overall package doesn't quite work. And personally there's other people who does aspects of him way better. Kind of a fan, but yeah something just doesn't quite click and he ends up looking kinda boring unfortunately.

They need to put him in a tag team with someone who is good at match layouts and pacing and see if they can get it to rub off on him over time. Working day in and day out with a good partner helps young wrestlers get better, see Bobby Eaton with Dennis Condrey and Shawn Michaels with Marty Jannetty (Jannetty is underrated as fuck in ring)

Looking at this video shows how Impact can give some wrestlers a better run than WWE. Whenever I think of Karrion/Killer Kross, I ask myself "What if Kross didn't resign with WWE after being released? What would his career be like if he didn't listen to Freddie Prinze Jr. and joined his wrestling promotion?" Poor guy was never the same after that promo off with Adam Cole. Hell, he was done the moment he lost to Jeff Hardy as the NXT champion.

The character he did in Kross was similar, but hyper in terms of being a walking revelation. On Raw, they butchered the momentum and gave him a diluted entrance then added elements that weren't needed. He returned and there was immediate hype. Only problem with Kross is his feuds are inconsistent on TV. He's not wrestling a lot. Short segments. Short matches. Short feud progression. With that, his character only stands out in promos and it's not a lot to remember. It's only because he's an inconsistent feature on SmackDown. Kross is actually great utility player with some good creativity. However, the company has bigger things going on leaving creative nothing for Kross to do complete opposite of his NXT run. I think Kross has time to be WWE's main villain, but I fear it's too late for top title run.

I always thought Kross was great in IMPACT... shame the company treated him and Scarlett badly towards the ends of their runs. Also, day insert number here of me asking for Marty The Moth's run in Lucha Underground which comes to around 28 or 29 matches. I've recently re-watched some of the Lucha Underground episodes and even Kross was great there as The White Rabbit, leader of the Rabbit Tribe, even if it was a bit goofy.

I don’t know why but I’ve never been able to get invested in Kross. I want to say it’s a combination of his terribly LU character being my first exposure making it difficult to take him seriously and people overhyping when his TNA debut was being teased so when he finally did debut it was a let down that he was just alright instead of this game changing best in the world some were making him out to be. Although there’s gotta be something else as I’ve overlooked bad gimmicks and overhype for hundreds if not thousands of other workers.

Why for some reason after watching this video, do I think I'd still enjoy Impact as a wrestling show, it's weirdly still got the vibes NWA TNA had as a more indie successor to ECW and no it's not because the ECW guys are still wrestling at Impact, but rather because of the variety of wrestling styles, in Impact, you get technical wrestlers, brawlers, hardcore guys and high flyers, you get a little bit of everything and that kinda makes a show more enjoyable overall. Like even watching this Killer Kross is not a high flyer, he's a big brawler type guy, honestly I feel like he would do better with more hardcore stuff.

this point and time TNA/impact was in this strange “limbo” airing there weekly show on Twitch tv (the twitch stream wasn’t bad but, at times the PQ would dip under 720p (One cool extra if you had Amazon Prime you’d get these interesting breaks with someone within TNA talking live to the chat lots of talented people around that time but, the tv was a mess the PPV were hit and miss then you had the Austin Aries debacle which made Impact & the bookers look bad! it’s actually crazy that Impact has out lived both ECW & WCW! Killer Kross was awesome on the indies and in Impact once the WWE hired him they watered him down

While I do agree that the run of Karrion Kross has not been all that it has been cracked up to be I think that personally there is a factor of Roman reigns holding the top belt of the brand he is on as a reason why Karrion Kross has been in his mid card purgatory run mixed with Vince McMahon back behind the booking and creative shortly after he lost it aswell I would point at aswell to another factor that defused Karrion Kross's momentum With that being said though when he was in NXT with some fantastic wrestlers to do it today like Samoa Joe, Adam cole & Johnny Gargano he was having good matches and genuinely seemed relatively terrifying I understand different strokes for different folks but I feel if Kross personally knocked off the hokey stuff and get him over on some deep rivalries with good wrestlers like let him squash Rey maybe to be your next u.s champion and you would have a more serious dominant heel champion with a bunch of good offence and a new attitude and I think Karrion Kross would be great I personally think he's already really good but a lot of these wrestlers are I Think it is more or less an opportunity thing
