Hi there, For our Draumr hammocks, we do not recommend a tarp smaller than 350cm (from head to toe) x 250cm (along the ridgeline), so yours should be fine! Our newest tarp, Skjold 10, has the size 380 x 300 cm. The size is based on feedback from our customers who wanted a bigger tarp than our previous models :) Team Amok

I love the ingenuity ,great improvements on an already great product. I seen Jons review from lost lakes who live down the road from me, Im going to get this because the regular hammocks still bother the back of my neck and at 54 ground sleeping kicks my butt.

Very nice as always. I run the Draumr XL and never found it to be heavy. I carry all of my gear on my mountain bike pack so weight isn’t an issue. I have packed on foot with it but even then it wasn’t bad. I won’t pack light and be uncomfortable.

Did you use during really cold winter nights? If yes, then it could be ice crystals forming on the inside, as I had that happen to my regular Fjøl XL. Easy fix, though...:)

With the breathability of the UL version, would it be more difficult to stay warm in colder temps??

The Draumr UL will let more air through the fabric, so if there's wind you will get more air circulation and drafts inside the hammock. If the conditions are still there is no significant difference between the two. It's the insulated pad + your sleeping bag ++ that will keep you warm, not the hammock :)

Hi David! Thanks for asking. Unfortunately that will not be possible. The stopper has to be mounted before the buckle is sewn on to the hammock to make them tight enough så bying similar patches that kan be threaded over the buckle wont be good enough because then the openning would be too big in the middle of the patch. So for the 4.0 you will still need to use driplines that you mount yourself for each such occasion. At least for the time being. Sorry about that. All the best- Team Amok

Loving my amok, but ithink you should make your own sleeping bags that zip to the amok and it would stop the sleeping bag moving and would be in place to get into..👍 if you make one could I get a free one to review lol

I've just received mine 24h after order, amazing quickness of delivery given it leaved Nordway to reach Switzerland. I've a bunch of question on different point of usage. Is there anywhere where I could ask questions or get additional information on the draumr 5.0? I was actually wondering if it's bad to have the top line not fully tighten, meaning you lose the ability to see if it's leveled but beside this point is it something counter indicated to use it when not tight? If you have a bunch of questions, I suggest you reach out to us at [e-mail] There are also a lot of tips and tricks here on KZbin. There are several Facebook groups that you might find interesting. Just search for Amok Draumr, and you´ll find them right away. There's no crisis if the ridgeline is not fully tightened. It's like you say; it won't be as easy seeing if the hammock is leveled or not. It will be challenging to use the ridgeline as support when you move around, and it won't be ideal hanging things from the ridgeline. Stay wild, Team Amok

Hi Trey, Sorry for the late reply from us! If you use an uninsulated pad in the hammock we don't see any reason why it shouldn't work in warm/humid weather. Just make sure the pad you use have baffles going lenghtwise and dimensions similar to our own Fjøl pads. Best regards, Team Amok

I just got my first Draumr 5.0, love it. I'm thinking of buying a second one... Is the Draumr UL better than the 5.0 in terms of quality, durability, warmth (since it's lighter and thinner material), etc.. or is it just lighter weight only

Happy to hear you like our hammock! The Draumr UL is a lightweight product and as for all lightweight products, if you only think in terms of durability, it is not as durable as a standard product. With that being said the Draumr 5.0 and the Draumr UL share the same warranty and with normal use they will not fail you :)

Dere nevner at det at den er lettere ikke skal gå på bekostning av komfort, men kan man også være trygg på at det ikke går på bekostning av bruk? (eller hva man skal kalle det). Veldig spennende med en kjempelett Draumr, i hvertfall! :D

Hi there! The max. distance between set up points for the Draumr is approximately 20 ft. Depending a bit on how high or low you want to pitch your tarp the length of the ridgeline can vary. The ridgeline on the Draumr hammocks are between 215 and 225 cm long, and our Skjold tarps which are made to fit have a width of 300 cm. Nei. denne kan du bruke i mye vind. Det er selfølgelig lurt og finne to store tre. har du noen små så er det klart når treet vaier så vill også køyen vaie litt. Men hvis du kjøper en slik så tviler jeg sterkt du kommer til og angre. er selv en mage sover. men sover meget godt i en litt halv sittende stilling i denne køya. har man sekken under seg så kan man på morgenen legge seg på magen og lage mat under seg rett fra køya.

I had a random thought. The possibility of turning over head to ground worried me. Maybe a loop to tie a cord above feet to make this an impossibility?

Thank you for the feedback. We had a shock cord attached on our Draumr 3.0, but have decided to remove the cord on later models. We advise you to get to know your hammock. Find the sweet spot, and practice safe entering and exiting. That way you don´t have to worry about turning over in the hammock. All the best, Team Amok

Maybe you're looking from replies from other customers here, but we can tell you that many seem to camp with dogs in our hammocks! Just be aware of claws and the possible damage they can do. A foam pad inside the hammock and socks for your dog might be good ideas:)

Great products! You should really shoot your videos out in nature though, it shows the products "in the wild" like they are meant to be used and is much less clinical than the sterile studio.
