What's New from Gretsch Guitars with Joey Carducci • NAMM 2018

It's that time of the year again, ladies and gentlemen!! We're back in Anaheim for the NAMM Convention roaming the halls for everything new and exciting. And boy, this year did not disappoint! Each of our wonderful manufactures provided us with in-depth and exciting tours of their new offerings.
In this video Gretsch's own Joey Carducci introduces us to the 135th Anniversary line of Gretsch Guitars, as well as a few beautiful treats! Enjoy!

I agree. I got the 5420 T in Fairlane Blue. Had to wait 2 months for it last year but it was so worth it. And the strange thing is that it just keeps on getting better every time i play it.

So true! It makes me want to buy every Electromatic in sight, before they cripple them in some way. I have a G441T Double Jet and a G534TG Pro Jet and I love and play them as much as I do my guitars that cost 6-7 times as much. There is no better bang for the buck in all of guitardom at this time.

Do you think the Eletromatic model worth a TV Jones upgrade? Or doesn't need that?

jair b' I think that’s a personal preference thing. I haven’t felt the need to swap out the pups on mine, but I wouldn’t hesitate if you were so inclined. The fit and finish on the Electromatic line is out of sight.

While I'm sure that the TV Jones pickups sound amazing, so do the stock black-top Filter'Trons. The only things I've upgraded was to install a roller bridge on my Pro Jet and locking Grover tuners on my Double Jet. I also install Loxx straplocks (the best!) on every guitar I own.

I feel like Gretsch has made the budget electromatic jets so damn good, its making the high dollar pro models a harder sell. To me you're getting into a law of diminishing returns by paying so much more for the pro models.

LOVE that casino gold single cut!! I kept hoping he would play some face-melting hard rock, but he disappointed me. Way too much rockabilly shit for my taste!
