They have some, kind of. In the swamp scans there are some treestumps where the top of the tree is missing. But you can always get some free ones on sketchfab or make them yourself.

Yeah quixel is missing tree assets. It would be more useful if they photoscaned real trees rather than you having to make them yourself and apply textures to it. Often when I make it myself they stand out in the scene

The work you guys are doing is amazing, but one thing Mixer Lacks right now is a baker. I Would love if you guys can come up with a baker in Quixel Mixer. Other than that Mixer is a perfect choice for texturing assets! ❤️

@@pavan_kumar556 yes, what bakes does it that it copies details from high poly objects, and bake it onto a lowpoly object just to save performance!

Could we get a little picture of where the object was originally scanned so we can get some reference to where the object came from and how big it is. Sometimes I have difficulty with this :)

Some collections have a tab at the top called "references" where the team will share some photos of the sources. The references aren't "linked" to a specific asset you may want to see but maybe that's something that can be done? I'll mention it to our team!

What kind of hardware are people using with unreal and megascans . Looking to get a new computer just wondering what works well.

unreal scales pretty well. I'm using a 1650super gpu with 16 gb ram. It works flawlessly. If u want rtx go rtx because the lighting is really good. but unreal pretty much work with every decent pc.

Could you add the option to choose the render engine for blender between cycles and Octane ? like for example ,by default we can import megascan assets for blender cycles ..but for octane someone made a special addon for that ..but the thing is that when we install this addon .downloading assets for cycles no longer work since it works only with octane we have to re install the default one to work with cycles,basically it would be nice to have the bridge working with both renderers

I'll be sure to mention that to the team. I have Octane in Blender too and I always thought it weird that Octane had it's own Blender.exe but hey, open source!

@@tyler_puryear yeah i know it's annoying that octane works only with a special build ( not to mention its not really well integrated with blender functionalities to me ) ,so i guess it might be complicated to have a bridge working with the blender octane editions ,but that would be great to have both ..like that we could work with cycles and octane in the same build ..oh and by the way , when importing in blender through the bridge ,it doesn't import the displacement and there is no mapping nodes connected to the map ..would be nice if it would be fixed too . thank you very much :)

the new export doesnt work the way it is supposed to it was working for 3ds max 2020 but after 2021 its broken so its kinda hard to keep paying for it if its broken ugh cmon guys at megascans!

Is there any quality difference between quixel materials (fabrics, metals, woods, plastics) and proceduraly made compettition's materials? it looks same to my eyes, but maybe there's another level im missing
