I am creating a project and using at least 80% Megascans props. They are fantastic! I check frequently to be amazed by what's new in the library. Thanks!

I don't found information about. Do you know the percentage you have to pay after you release your project?

@@model901 after you make a certain threshold, you owe 5% to Unreal. I have seen a figure as low as $3000 for the threshold, but I am not sure.

the audio is very compressed in this video. A little adds that professional sound, but this much makes it sound like I have the volume turned wayyyyy too loud no matter how quiet it actually is.

How do you use brushes in Blender exported from Quixel Bridge? I've found only 2 forum posts asking about this and one has an admin telling them to reformat their question, and the other has the community manager saying "we'll tell you in private"

Man those props are very recognizable which is not something good. For example I instantly recognize those rumpled barrels every time I see them in different projects, in Hell Let Loose for example or other games. Also there's like always one or sometimes two variation of each object. Which is not much. I mean you should consider on not only scaling your library in scale, but also in depth. I mean 10 variations for a single metallic barrel will be a very good option to choose from. And most objects should look regular, because the more recognizable the prop is - the less it will be usable at the environment. Another example - a blue dirty plastic drum. There's only one type of this barrel availible - the one covered with dirt, which makes it very recognizable and unique. If you place two of them somewhere, it will be noticable that they are just copies of the same barrel. On the other hand - wooden barrels looks generic and there are a lot of variations for them - this is something good for a library of props.

Thanks for the feedback! You're right; variety is key to realism. For us it has always been a balance of providing variety both on the individual asset level as well as the library level. To increase variety on the asset level just as you have described, for instance turning a blue dirty plastic drum into something completely different, we created a free software designed exactly for this purpose: Quixel Mixer. Rest assured we are also working on increasing the versatility of individual assets, as well as increasing further variation in the library.
