What's new with Kioti? Checking out some new tractors at my dealership!

I was at my dealership getting some filters and oil for upcoming oil change so I figured I'd show off what they have in stock and talk about the different models.

The only problem with Kioti is they’re eerily similar to Kubota. The parent company Daedong Agriculture has been in the tractor business for while. The older tractors were unique. They launched the Kioti brand sometime in the early 90s to compete in the US market. Now a days from a distance it’s hard to tell the difference between a Kioti and a Kubota. Being a South Korean Company, I wonder if it’s now a competition with Japan for the US market. Either way. Kioti is a solid brand. It’s not like it’s a knock-off Kubota. They just look similar. I’ve never owned or seen one, but everyone seems to like them and they’re getting really popular.

They are very similar in look I agree. Even the model numbers almost follow similar patterns. The biggest difference between them is price and capacities. Kioti is considerably less than kubota if you compare similar models, but lift capacity of a kioti is usually comparable to a model size up of a kubota tractor. I know kubota does this to keep folks from lifting too much for the weight of the tractor. Kioti tractors are heavier than kubota tractors which helps with this issue. Kioti uses more iron and less aluminum in their castings. Weight of a tractor is an advantage, not a disadvantage. Thanks for stopping in!

I put a pair of golf cart mirrors on my CS2520. They're held on with strong earth magnets. They're great when plowing. Those cabs would be more appealing to me if you could remove the doors like on a Jeep.

I agree totally. Being able to remove for the warmer time of year would be a plus. Yes, they have A/C, but I'm on and off quite a bit when I'm working in the wood yard with it. Not just sitting in it for hours like when moving snow in the winter time. Good tip on the golf cart mirrors. I'll have to look into that!

Tim you are a strong man not been tempted to get more iron (at least a CK) with all those new Kioti's finally in stock. That CK SE cab definitely looks like the best compact + cab (looks a lot more capable than the CX cab) just curious how much they asking for nowdays.

I'm mostly happy with my CS for now. Main deterrent is the height of the cab models. My garage only has 7 ft. doors and 8 ft. sidewalls so it won't fit a cab model in there. I won't leave my tractor outside as it's too easy to steal them it seems. Plus they stay nice a bit longer if kept under cover. The other drawback is during warm months I like to be able to hop on and off without messing with a door, but I think I could get over that...Thanks for watching!

I still to this day don’t understand the horsepower ratings on small tractors. 22 and 25 horsepower? Why even make different models with such a little difference. I doubt you can even feel the difference between them, especially with the margin of error on engines. I think it’s a gimmick and get you to pay more for nothing. They ask you for a couple hundred dollars more for the “higher HP” model, but they’re selling you the same thing. 1. From my understand they’re the exact same engine. They just have different horsepower. I don’t know how they would manufacturer the same engine to have different horsepowers on such a small scale. 2. Margin of error. Engines, like everything, are imperfect. They could have +\- a few Horsepower in their margin of error. You could get a 25 HP that puts out HP22 and a 22HP that puts out 25HP. I get there is emissions stuff involved, but why wouldn’t you sell like a 20HP and a 30HP. Something significant enough to matter…….

25 is the limit for emissions. After you get above that they jump by 5 to 10hp in the models. The lower subcompact tractors is where you see the difference you describe, but not with kioti. The smallest hp they make is 25. Kubota does the 18,20,22,23 thing. Thanks for stopping in and sharing your feelings!

That’s why I bought a RX 7320 cab. I out grew the other two Kioti tractors I had.

It can happen pretty easy when you find out how much more a bigger tractor can do. Getting in tight spaces is high on my list right now so the cs wins for me right now. Thanks for watching!
