I once had an amish drone, the propellers had rubber bands that had to be wound to get them to spin. I wrecked it on its maiden flight.

All for using them to recover a mortally wounded deer but once the wounded deer is located they are put away. Absolutely against any other use of a drone. They will only be used unethically and to aid people in killing certain deer. I'm also absolutely against them being used for "herd analysis", scouting, snooping over property that you dont have permission to be on, or aiding in anything else at any time of year in regards to deer or hunting. There needs to be steep fines, jail time, ect for anyone using these to fly over other peoples property or to aid in harvesting a deer.

So 30,000x30 is $900,000. If you do 5% maybe you could cut that in half. I could see a state spending $500,000 for an accurate deer census.

Drone dear recovery is mostly being done to make money. It's Not being done for the sake of the deer closed it never should be used for hunting in any way because it aids in it. I believe because of the ethics of hunting itself it shouldn't be used.

58:00 - i think the law should clearly state it one way or the other. You can attempt to recover the deer after dark, if the deer is deceased you can recover. If the deer is alive in any capacity, you have to leave it and come back at 30 mins before sunrise to resume recovery. Black and white.

If a drone is used for recovery then that property should be illegal to hunt for 72 hours in attempt to prevent scouting (poaching). If you find 10 other deer while looking for 1 dead one then go back out in the morning using the information from the drone you just used that equipment for scouting

I remember some 20-25 years ago here in my home state of Louisiana they busted a group of guys for poaching a huge buck (18-pointer) using a small airplane. Three guys were involved. They were using CB radios to coordinate jumping the buck and used the plane to spook and drive the buck towards the two hunters on the ground. They were all found guilty of "poaching" and "harassing wild-game" and "conspiracy" to commit a crime. So I can see the how and why using drones should be regulated. That said it should be clearly defined. I personally don't see recovering with a drone that much difference from using a blood trailing dog. In both instances once you start to look for and recover the shot deer you don't know whether or not the deer is alive or dead. In my home state, on private land, you are allowed to finish off a wounded deer while using a deer blood trailing dog. If the deer is mortally wounded you should be able to go after it and retrieve it. I think with everything else all this boils down to the intent of the law. No matter what the case be, there are people that will do things with bad intentions and those that do them with good intentions.

Y’all were only 8.1-9.1 million dollars off on that calculation of what it would cost for a month of 30 drone operators. A 900k-1 million dollar budget would cover that at $1000 per day over 30 days

Montana Allows Deer drone recovery and they have very strict game laws. Pa game commission sucks on so many levels its incredilble. Just shoot a bear and go to the check station. sitting down with an officer to register the kill is interogation. I shot like 5 bears in PA and got so sick of them that I don't bear hunt in PA anymore. Running a sting operation to make a point is not how you treat the gray area. You make clear laws so we all know. PA is chagning rules every year on different things--Its nearly impossible to keep up with it. I once got fined for having 2 unsigned antlerless licenses from a previous year in which I didn't use the licenses. Every time you run into these guys they treat you as guilty of something till proven otherwise. Doens't matter what you look like they assume everybody is guilty of something till they can't prove it to be true.

Let me play the devil's advocate, I'm not against using a drone to recover a deer but why do people think it's immoral to not pursue and put the buck out of his misery but wouldn't bother to do the same for a doe. Mike has even said that 100% of his calls are for bucks. @huntr

Legal or illegal to recover deer with drones, there are still gonna be people that use them inappropriately. So why not at least be able to recover your deer. Thats just like banning guns completely because people use them inappropriately

I'll preface this by saying I am a golf course superintendent for the last 25 years. I have a degree in plant and soil science from UMass. The way you are advertising your liquid fertilizers is misleading. There is not a liquid fertilizer that can be taken up by the foliage. At the molecular level, nutrients are too large to enter into plant stomates. All nutrients, whether granular or liquid are absorbed by the root system. We went through a "true foliar" fad in golf a long time ago. It has been disproven scientifically. You absolutely positively have to treat your soils right. You should be using a good organic fertilizer, and going to a no-till operation. You should be trying to promote soil microbiology. You are killing your soils by tilling if indeed that's what you are doing. I don't know if that's what you are doing. A good organic fertilizer like a composted chicken manure should be the mainstay or backbone of your fertility program. Foliar fertilizers are a nice supplement if you're growing grass on a golf course. Completely unnecessary in a food plot situation unless you're into lighting money on fire. Soil pH 100% matters when you are growing plants. You aren't getting around pH by spraying a foliar fert. Why would you ever want to anyway? Any form of calcium is super cheap. Plants are rooted into the ground for a reason. They take up their all of the nutrients and water from there. Not the foliage. A good organic fertilizer feeds soil microbes. Over time soil microbe populations will increase to a point where you're getting free nitrogen from microbial excrement. You should develop a humus layer in your soil if you go to a no till operation. This is your carbon source. Carbon is the backbone of life on earth. Soil included. I'll gladly point you to the research and university professors who have disproven "foliar technology"
