Thank you, my friend. I am striving to be a better person a bit every day. My troubles shouldn't be the burden of those in my company.

The running game doesn’t open up a passing game because there is no passing game. There has to be a passing game to be opened up.

Honestly, i dont think AJ even made it into the end zone on that holding play. BYU played a clean, assignment sound game and executed a game plan meant to rattle a young QB in a hostile environment to a T. 38-9 is not just a fluke. K State got had.

Been following K-State since I was there at the win vs North Texas in 89. Biggest collapse to me was the Big 12 Championship game in 1998. That was brutal and hurt so so much.

I agree. That was against Texas A and M. Michael Bishop ended up fumbling the ball. Such a wonderful player and dual treat. Could have won the Heisman, had it not been for that. Instead of playing for the national championship, Kansas State ended up in the Alamo Bowl.

Looking at yards gained compared to byu is kinda misleading. No doubt K state was out performing BYU for the first 25 minutes. However momentum shifted and K state is not built to play from behind. Yes k state had more yards, but that completely discredits BYU’s plays. Add 90 yards for the punt return and 25 for the scoop and score and the yards aren’t so strange. It’s easy to win the stats when two byu scores count for zero yards and hand the ball right back to k states offense to get more yards. Additionally, byu was playing cover 2 once they got ahead. In other words, byu was fine with letting k state eat up time and were focused on stopping explosive plays. They were playing to win not to pad the stats. To me it is concerning that K state defense did not step up and lock down in the red zone. BYU was able to take two turn overs and turn it into 14 points with quick efficiency. Additionally, k state was 0/3 on 4th down. Considering that BYU held SMU to no touchdowns despite their qb turning it over, k state needs to do the same. This wasn’t a fluke it was a momentum shift. K state wasn’t mature enough to play through adversity and move on. Avery was clearly frazzled and let it get to him.

Even if K state got 21 points back from those three turnovers, BYU still wins by nine. Keeping them out of the end zone is a big deal and Cole can’t even give them that credit.

This is all ifs and buts, we can speculate all kinds of scenarios. A famous saying is if my aunt were a man she'd be my uncle. But just for grins, let's say Kstate plays a more characteristic game, they don't have drive killing penalties inside the 5 and 10 yard lines, a couple which negated actual touchdowns, say they split, 1 td, 1 fg, it's 10-3, they drive down the field with 2 mins left, they manage another FG. 13-3 going into halftime, with the ball after half. They've been a very strong 2nd half team all year, if Avery tucks it and runs instead of throwing the pick there, we potentially drive down the field for another fg or even a touchdown, so we're looking at 16-3 or potentially 20-3 at that point. I'm basing this off of how well kstate was moving the ball outside of the turnovers. At that point, who knows what would happen. I think BYU would respond with a td, making it 20-10 and we have a tight ballgame. This is a scenario that is within grasp if Kstate plays just a little bit better at protecting the football and not committing penalties, all else being equal. But that's not what happened. BYU kicked their butt's that day and that's how it is. Just have to play better next time.

I’m tired of hearing the run game opens up the passing game. Stop. The passing opens up the running game. We also have to attack the middle of the field with passing routes. Avery also needs to be told to take off if he doesn’t like his first two reads. This is so frustratingly simple.

Seems like AJ’s in the pocket more this year vs rolling out & having the option to run, pitch or throw. Seems like he’d put the opposing D in more conflict by rolling out. 🤔

Worst meltdowns I've seen, 2010 vs Nebraska, lost 48-13. Martinez ran for 241 yards and felt like 700. 2009 vs Texas Tech, Sheffield threw for almost 500 yards winning 66-14. 2010 vs Baylor, we had just reached a #1 BCS ranking and then got throttled 52-24. Collin Klein threw 3 picks.

They certainly kept them out of the end zone or even a field goal the rest of the game. I still don’t know how that happened. I wasn’t expecting a comeback completely but to wake up with no more points scored concerns me.

Back to the facts guys. Something is going on inside the locker room, and I am afraid within the program. What would Bill Snyder do is the opposite of the product on the field. If Avery and Co. leave I could not blame them. Say the ball bounced the wrong way all you want. The coaching scheme is too often flat out bad.

Another great show. How can we make our home field environment more like the wonderful environment at BYU? They seem to do everything right at that school.

Anyone that's played in any athletics know that as unfortunate and disappointing it is,there are going to be games like that. Coaches and players will regroup. The goal of reaching the Big 12 Championship can still be achieved. Obviously there are things that need to improve including letting Avery and Dylan do what you recruited them for. Go Cats beat the Pokes!
