The results from medical studies done to determine whether stents help with congestive heart failure are a mixed bag with some indicating benefit and others not. I know one guy with congestive heart failure who recently had stents put in for angina (helped for that). However, the stents don't seem to have helped with the heart failure aspect. Good luck and hope for the best. During your upcoming visit to the hospital cath lab, they may recommend multiple stents. Hopefully the hospital figured that into the overall cost estimate they provided.

There is no cure for CHF, and it's not going to restore damaged heart muscle. However, a stent or bypass can prevent a future heart attack. It can also allow more circulation to areas of the heart muscle that may be compromised with lower circulation and potentially produce a better squeeze. He probably needs to look into CHF drugs like Entresto or Jardiance that can help with that too. He is probably not of high risk as far as the stents go, but at much greater risk for an open-heart procedure, such as a bypass. However, he is not in the best of shape and his main question to his doctors should be what are the risks of him surviving the surgery.

Here in US, My husband had triple bypass 2014 Got up and walk after a day and after 6mos he had stent put in. Thankful to God he is still with us. Planning to retire in Philippines. Will continue to pray for you Monty. Keep the faith.

Monty trying not to be negative but why isn't your wife more involved with the videos? Her character and beauty would certainly help. And you mentioned using your daughter's social security benefits for your surgery what happens if you don't make it she has no money you're making some very bad decisions!!

She will get $125,00 from social security in the 14 years and $100,000 life insurance policy that I took out the day she was born and prepaid it for 10 years. She will stay with my son or daughter in the USA if she wants to go to college there or work there. So what do you think she would appreciate more a few more years with her dad or a few more $ ?
