Excellent Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Foolijaar Straightforward Finder (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one off guide for mastering human anatomy and physiology without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate finally got cool results with it.

What was the toughest rotation u had? Maybe u can answer this once u finish all of them. Are u naturally not squemish or u had to learn the skill of not throwin up? With all the shifts u work, especially night time on call, how do u keep focus because of lack of sleep, feeling groggy, do u not get headaches from the sudden beeps of pagers every time u try gettin sleep? Sorry for the many questions. I find it incredible that u still able to process tasks at hand because I would be extra cranky. Maybe u can answer these in ur next Q&A. I wish u could post videos everyday. Lookin forward to ur new video, Dr. Siobhan!

Turn if your notifications for each app. Then you can see them only when you get in the app. Also you need more memory for your phone or put your non medical pics /videos in the cloud. It will clear up some of the loading issues you have.

So happy to hear you're in a rheumatology rotation right now! I have lupus and think it's so important young doctors have the opportunity to get experience seeing lupus patients so they can better "believe" their symptoms and help improve lupus diagnosis time. My internal medicine / primary care physician did not "believe" my pain or order the proper tests for me which almost cost me my life. I think it was partly due to ignorance and misunderstanding of what the disease looks like, especially in someone young with no prior health problems. Have you come across any lupus cases in your rotation yet?

Hi gnarlish! sorry to hear you went through such a tough even getting a diagnosis, that sounds awful! I have had the pleasure of meeting some patients with lupus, although so far they have been very well controlled (previous diagnosed). Yes definitely a disease that can give almost any symptoms! Thanks for sharing!

On your reminders page you have a check box for Sjrogren's! That's so cool, my mom was diagnosed with Sjrogren's a couple years ago, it took them a while to figure out what was going on with her immune system

I use Evernote for ideas, for recipes, for bucket lists, and I purchased the version that allows you to access the data from various devices, which is useful. Then there is the app that PREVENTS you from using your phone. Haha, yes. It's called FOREST. It blocks access for a set time, let's say 25 minutes, giving you a chance to work without interruption or distraction. During this time you grow a virtual tree. Cute, eh? Your statement "the so-and-so trial is so hot at the ICU right now" made me smile. Your'e so passionate about your work, which is phenomenal!

When I saw nephrotic syndrome in your notes it honestly made me smile! I had nephrotic syndrome when I was younger and it seems like no one knows what it is since it’s pretty rare!

I have a cool app. The Rosary audio app. It will say the rosary for you. (I'm not Catholic, but memorization is a huge problem for me). Also I learned that you can get a compass app. And I have a period tracker app, and white noise app, and a flash light app. My nurse actually told me about the flash light app and the period tracker. Sometimes one of my medication will land on the floor, and she will turn on her flash light to help us find it.

I use something similar to Evernote called Werdsmith, but it's geared for writing as well as note-taking. Lots of formats to choose from - notes, novel, poetry, screenplay. I fill it up with info the same way you do though; it's not uncommon for several documents to be in there at any given time, each a few thousand words or so.

One awesome app I have as a pharmacy student is called Credible Meds. It calculates QT prolongation risk from different meds which is really helpful in patients you're worried about!

Random question: I LOOOOVEEE Casualty and Holby City, they constantly reiterate the fact that they always use accurate factual information, do you watch these or genuinly think the information they provide is accurately depicted in scenes? I’m finishing my undergrad in biochemistry right now. Hopefully to go on to pharmacy school but lately I’ve been so burnt out. I discovered a virus that may be used in trials to treat tuberculosis via bacteriophage therapy and I need to present it but I’m not feeling it. App: myduty .. its like a shift calendar (probably more for nurses soz) and you can make a group for all your colleagues and see which shifts they're working (and yes it's disheartening when there are none of your friends on the same shift as you!)
