Recently Soyeon appeared on a KZbin show where she confessed to not only being responsible for Gidle’s music production, but also their creative direction AND marketing. She quite literally manages everything about Gidle and all Cube does is provide resources and funding (funding that Soyeon’s work brings to the company). I can understand her frustration with Cube considering she’s basically responsible for keeping the lights on in that company. She wouldn’t have said that unprovoked. Obviously Cube mistreats the group despite the fact that they’re the companies most successful and reliable group ever and one of the top groups in the industry. It seems that Cube may take Soyeon and the other members for granted and there’s a lack of respect from the higher ups towards them. If I were them I would be jumping ship as soon as I possibly could!

Despite everything, I'm still not 100 percent convinced that Idle really leaves cube. Considering the past comments about their contract ending (e.g. Yuqi joking about 'only two years left'), the whole Soojin scandal which visibly tore them up inside, Shuhua saying she wants to make her own company countless times, and now this... why doesn't she just open her own company? like, i know it's not a given but she has her own name in the industry and finding investors shouldn't be hard for someone like her. she manages everything on her own anyway, plus she's one of the rare idols who really seems to care about what music she puts out, so having her own company would give her more creative liberty and all, which i do not think that any other company ever will. CUBE Entertainment can't thrive without Soyeon. Letting her or the rest of (G)I-DLE go would be a huge mistake. While this isn't to diminish the talents of other idols under CUBE, Soyeon is undeniably one of the most influential and artistic women in K-pop. Her unique style and creativity are key reasons why CUBE is even close to being a top-tier company. It's frustrating to see that the company still hasn't grasped the importance of valuing their artists. There will never be another Soyeon!

No one ever bought a ticket or an album to see or hear some industry corporate suits. The idols create the value. Yes, it takes years of training that the companies must eat to put them in position to succeed, but if the suits do their jobs correctly, the idols will see them repaid and well-rewarded. As far as Soyeon's rap, understand that rap as a genre is an expression of ego, not humility. If you don't like that, stay away from rappers.

I honestly don't think that fans, including myself, are surprised that i-dle don't want to renew their contract. All the other members have brought it up multiple times how their contract ends in x amount of time. Or how they would like to go to another company. Or just shading Cube in general. It's sad that there's a possibility of them not renewing, but I'm not surprised. They have been mistreated and neglected by Cube multiple times I just hope that they continue to be i-dle no matter what company they sign to.

Somehow I hope that as soon as GIdle from Cube (won't renew their contract) everyone will get back together with Soojin and become ot6 again in another company. but you can only hope that it might happen (or that G Idle would do a collab with Soojin under another company) they are all just ideas that you don't know if they will ever come true. I still want to hope so (because the songs are ot6 We sang together, were always really cool and sounded so beautiful + the performance (on the stages or in the music video) i miss ot6 G Idle 😍☺

Honestly I agree with soyeon on the lyrics 1:15 . Most idols nowadays can't sing a line without autotune playing in the back. The companies push the female idols as innocent young girls for older men's fantasy which is really creepy. The only group up to date who never for once disappointed me is G IDLE. Like the group is full of talented singers, dancers and most importantly performers. No matter what happens I have never seen G IDLE performing casually in concerts. They might not be the best singers, dancers or rappers but they definitely are one of the most sincere and dedicated professionals who do their job perfectly on stage. Love these girls. And yes they should leave CUBE.

You can see that CUBE panicked because it went viral. It's all about investors, even if G-IDLE are leaving CUBE, they have artists to work with, they just need to stay stable. This week global investment market experienced a big crash, in which every stock was affected. I think CUBE is playing it safe because of variety of reasons, but even if I can understand that logic, I don't like that company. I want Soyeon to leave with girls somewhere, where they can expand to a bigger music scene.

Actually, most stocks were up this week globally, and the dollar fell more again as US looks increasingly insolvent. I don't follow cube stock but if it was down this week, that was against the overall trend. But I'd not invest in Cube anymore than I would the US as they're both broke now lol
