It is about his age. Nobody can be in tip top shape for so long. He is almost 50!!! His opponents are 20 years younger!!! Show some respect man! For exmple Gasparov retired in age of 41, younger Kramnik has retired, Anand is 14th in ELO and oldest player in TOP50. Another players of his age Gelfand and Ivanchuk are 49th 50th in ELO. There are only 5 players of age 50 in TOP100!!! So next time, please, do not talk about things you do knot know... It seems very rare that we see upsets in chess, so I'd like to see some of them on this channel, possibly by a player rated 50-100 points below the opponent, or a recent loss by Carlsen. Ideally those upsets would have more to do with the strong play of the winner than rather poor move by the favourite.

Unfortunately it was mostly theory, if you see the interview MVL had studied the exchange sacs and the endgame, there were bits he couldn't recall the exact move so stopped to think on but realistically he had looked at nearly every move beforehand with the engine. Caruanas prep was only a little less deep than this as he wasn't the one who had to work out how to hold the endgame

Agad, you need to have a system monitor of some kind running while you record. SOMething that will watch your CPU, Ram, and HD activity and will alert you when any of them are spiking. What's happening is your system is temporarily spiking (using up all its resources) while it's recording, and frames are being dropped while it catches up to itself and recovers from the lack of resources. Or as you said, you could get a new PC. Consider an AMD PC which is designed for multitasking.
