Over 700 arrows shot with my phase 4 and a whisker bis out to 85 yards, this year, no issues what so ever, My buddy with his Bowtech and a QAD had issue's that had to be addressed two times the arrow started to porpoise threw the air. $279 versus $40 and no issues for the last 25 years and three bows, all with whisker bis not a single issue ever, I do like the idea of the drop away, just can't get myself to spend the money and have an issue.

Good review and discussion of the pros and cons. Personally I’m a Hamskea fan, for my use case I think there’s less to go wrong and they’re easier to make field repairs if something does happen. One con for the Hamskea (older ones like the Trinity) not mentioned is that they can have clearance issues with some quivers.

I have owned both. I currently use a Hamskea Epsilon and really like it. Moving the cable in or out on the limb you can speed up or slow down the rest. I have seen several QAD go bad and take 10+ seconds to drop and have to be sent into QAD. Replacing the cord on the QAD is pain but not that hard.

Was a Hamskea fan but was disappointed the Epsilon was not a true integrate so I went with a Qad Mx on my V3X to use 2 pieces loe pro… now a Qad fan, love my new rest sooo sleek n light!

I ran a QAD rest that wasn't micro adjustable for many years. Recently, the rest froze in the up position and cause the arrow to go way off course as the fletchings hit the rest. When I purchased the new bow, I decided to go with the epsilon, as I wanted the micro adjust for broadhead tuning. Having used the Hamskea for a few months now, I prefer it over my QAD that I still need to send in for repair.

QAD on my Mathews and Hamskea on my Prime. Both have pros and cons but you can’t go wrong with either.

I’m torn I like the idea of being able to repair the hamskea in the field but I like the short cable of the qad and suggestions I live and hunt in south texas

I do exactly what he was saying, keeping my football clamp in my emergency kit. Activation cord is served in my down cable, but if something happens I can change the cord and use the clamp

I just bought my first bow (elite) and the bow technician put a an OBE-Defy drop rest on , is that a good brand? Also 5 pin site, stabilizer’s also OBE. For hunting. Being new to all this, is this a good setup.?I feel like the tech is knowledgeable. Just asking your opinion.
