I make it is for you guys: Get a used L&P P6 Pro for 2k, rip your library and never look back. No delta sigma can come close to what L&P guys do with tuning, dynamics and technicalities in a tiny formfactor. UI is less scary than some reviews could suggest. If you want to roll big go for Ti99 model or LP6 TI / 7AE.

Wow! I think this must be the first review that mentions the KANN ULTRA and FiiO M17 in a review. I'm listening now. I have both these DAPs and which one sounds better is not easy. At first I liked the sound of the FiiO M17 more and then after switching back and forth over time, I think the KANN ULTRA sounds better. I listen mainly with just two IEMs and those are FiiO FA19 and Mega5EST Bass+ Limited Edition. With these two IEMs I don't really need the AC Power Mode in FiiO M17. Picking between the two not an easy choice. Slight advanctage maybe to FiiO M17 because it saves battery with the AC Power Mode. I hope in the future Astell&Kern upgrade KANN ULTRA with a AC Power Mode or USB Power Mode then the KANN ULTRA+ AC is what name I'll give it and then it's perfect. Great Review - Now on my shopping list is the iBasso DX340.

I love it. Do you use the Ultra in Super Gain mode? I have bought over 40.000 euros in streaming music in the last 12 years. I only use music directly on the Ultra and micro SD because this is superior to any streaming network. I also use up-sampling for all DSD and PCM music, which is a huge step up. I play all the music in Super gain mode. The weight is the best low-frequency I have ever auditioned with any DAP I listened to. Its grip and authority over the whole frequency range are so impressive.

I don't seam to need the Super Gain Mode with the two IEMs. I have to start playing more music from the SD Card because I didn't know it was better than the streaming service. Thanks. Are you using the standard Power Supply that comes with the FiiO M17? If so then upgrade to these - iFi iPower Elite 12v and the sounds is cleaner and better. Expensive yes for a Power Supply. When I heard the difference it kept it. Bought on Amazon.

Still loving the SE300 I got from y'all! The best sound quality I have heard in a DAP (although, admittedly, I haven't heard any other >$1000 DAPs).

When you would hear the Kann Ultra, it will destroy your SE300 easily on all aspects of sound.

I was just reading the Bloom Audio blog post on “what’s the best IEM for me in 2024”. I think there’s a mistake for the VE10 driver configuration. It’s stated as 10 BA in the post, which should be 9 BA + 1 DD.

Im really in doubt about the SE300, KANN Ultra and SP3000M, Could anyone help me? Sound quality for both IEMs and Headphones... Leaning towards the SE300...

For pure sound quality, I'd say SP3000M or SE300. SP3000M has the edge in overall quality, but for less than half the price, SE300 offers so much bang for your buck, any difference in SQ seems small. Kann Ultra would really only be the best option if your primarily listening to headphones and they're on the harder to drive size.

@@BloomAudio Thanks for the reply. I am seriously considering uping my game and purchasing endgame iBasso DX320 Max Ti from bloom, and a nice pair of IEMs (either thie audio or noble knight (it will be my first IEM) and a travel headphone like the bathys as well, do you think it would pair well?

I am seeking an IEM set for my Astell & Kern Kann Ultra. My budget is $4000. I only want to use 1 set of IEMs. It needs to cover all genres of music. I will sell my Odin; I never liked the mids because it is 100% not coherent sounding. I am looking for a much warmer mid frequencies. And dynamic low frequencies and no harsh high frequencies.

Hey, there's probably a bit too much to this discussion to make a recommendation in a KZbin comment, but a few that come to mind if you're looking for something that will match the technical capabilities of the Odin, without harsh high frequencies, and with more coherent midrange are the Vision Ears EXT MK2, Vision Ears Phonix, and Lime Ears Anima. I'd recommend emilaing our boys at [e-mail] if you want to get more in depth with the specifics.

Some headphones like BW PX7 S2 allow digital audio over USB-C which when paired with a solid app can easily replace a DAP. Still love my NW A55 though
