Thank you, Dr. McDougall for this video. I’ve been confused over which form of Vitamin B-12 to buy over the years. I’ve bought the different forms and discarded those that I was told had Cyanide. Also, I don’t take the high dosage B-12s everyday but once a week. I’m glad to have this clarification.

My dna health test told me I don't absorb or process B-12 very effectively, so I'm taking some everyday. I haven't been tested for a deficiency, so hope that taking it everyday will keep me well. I have been tired for years and sick&fat on a SAD high meat diet, so I think the plant based starch diet is the way to go with a B-12 pill daily.

Hi Dr. McDougall. My GP has advised me to take V-B12 as previous blood exams show a slightly deficient. I have been primarily on a plant based diet for more than three years. He was not clear on the dose but thinks I need one every day.

I think I might use my mother's old pill Cutter to lessen the dose and use the three forms over a 3 weekly cycle. Whenever I get blood tests my doctor mentions I have a high level of Vitamin B 12. I have no idea how I'm absorbing it, but this is information we can use in perhaps improving our dose until there is more conclusive evidence. I know you'll be on top of it for us all Dr McDougall :)

Dr. McDougall, do you have any thoughts about how the bacteria on our skin produces B12 and that B12 can be absorbed through the skin, so that maybe it's not a good idea to use soap and other chemicals on our skin on a frequent basis?

I’d like to ask Dr McD a question about hairloss. Not sure where I can submit my question. I’ve lost so much hair after going WFPBNO in march 2022. Lost 65 lbs in 8 months but holding steady now. Prob too fast to lose that much weight. Will hair grow back? It’s become so thin..

Zero B12 There are 8.7 million species of animals that take zero vitamins and supplements and they are thriving. Even the pest control companies are thriving from all the bugs that are reproducing like crazy from eating from the so called nutrient depleted soil while consuming no vitamins or supplements. Please explain how this is possible.

and why would you say that when you know this Dr is not advocating animal products for a whole host of reasons. If you don't understand then I suggest you research what he has said.
@kiwikim51632 жыл бұрын
The best formulation of B-12 is to eat animal foods. Animal food are our natural diet. Dr. looks like a frail 90 year old. He’s 75 and using a heavy filter.
@Scless2 жыл бұрын
i agree he looks unhealthy but there are a lot of vegans who look amazing, Maybe he is not eating the right foods. Thats not an excuse to say animal foods are the best. I hear him many times saying he is eating mostly rice and potatoes. These foods alone cant sustain you for long before you start looking like a sceletor.
@panes8402 жыл бұрын
He may look unhealthy to you because you are conditioned culturally to think what healthy to you "should look like". He is an old man now, and he has his mental faculties and physical faculties and doing extremely well. He has eaten this way for more than 50+ years. People in the west are conditioned to think and feel a certain way about what healthy should be and look like yet ironically are fat, sick and dying of non communicable diseases but have the audacity to criticize those who are living differently. Maybe he could eat a bit of this and a bit of that but there is no guarantee that would make him any healthier than he is right now. Personally I see nothing wrong with his skin. My mother who is 86 looks like a pile of sh#t compared to John McDougall. She has had cancer x3 times, high blood pressure, diabetes and diverticulitius and is slowly dying from malnutrition from what the western diet and her relentless smoking has done to her body but you know....... everything in moderation and of course now considered normal part of aging. So you can be as vindictive as you like with the "he's 75 and using a heavy filter" because you have no actual real evidence for that, just vindictive sniping because he is advocating a diet that you are not following. At 75 he looks soooooo much better than other 75 year old folk. If you can't or won't see that then so be it. Your choice. Your loss. Good luck with eating all those animal foods which science and unbiased science at that is discovering is actually a bloody nightmare for the human diet and although we have existed on it, it is far from an optimal diet. Yes we have been eating it for years and years but this is down to herding culture, (see the book The World Peace Diet) and agendas of the elite and marketing their products ever since we understood the role of protein which has been over rated and over stated again for marketing purposes to sell PRODUCTS. ANIMAL PRODUCTS. So again you have to do your homework before you open your mouth and make yourself look somewhat dumb rather than smart.
