People always comment on how high I tee my ball up. I have a tendency to hit low flat balls. So I tee it up high and tend to swing 4-5 up launching it around 13-14 from a 10.5* head. Switched into the Stealth this year as it allowed me to get my spin above 2000 consistently.

It depends on the height of the clubface and your angle of attack. For me, I just tee it high enough so the ball hits the clubface dead center (if I do it correctly).

Dead center is ideal. But if you are going to miss slightly higher is better than lower - Thomas

@@2ndswing Oh yeah. If one is not sure how high to tee it up, it is better to err on the higher side.

I think it’s all in your swing. Some people (mostly older people or new golfers with the baseball swing) swing higher off the ground. I tend to lightly skim the ground so I make sure half my ball is exposed to club head

Your Path is Open -5.5 with a Higher Tee Height, is this normal using a 460cc Driver? The Pros are hitting down -1.5 most always, never Tee it up as you mention for distance and they surpass the distance with a Higher Tee Height...the only thing different with a Higher Tee Height it encourages you to increase your Swing Speed to push for distance... This really messes with People's heads too many conflicts in my opinion, it's not the person's Height teeing up, the 460cc driver seems to work best with a lower Tee Height for center hits, and Golf Simulators always read 275 to 300 yards in distance, that's not the case on the course, faults narrative, Hitting Down with the Driver the same as Irons depending on loft provides the distance. Trackman is always Ideal conditions and center hits for Ideal summaries...Hitting up your Swing Speed will always change and hitting down is repeatable regardless of the Golf Club used excluding the Putter, in my opinion.

I’m curious if my set up is correct, I think the bottom of my driver site to flat on the ground, I see your driver the toe points up slightly. I tried to go for a fitting at a pga superstore but I didn’t have any luck with that guy, he was very crabby IMO. All he said was hit 8 shots, had me another driver hit 8 shots. No info on what he was doing or what he was changing. Need to find someplace to help me tweak and fine tune. I can hit it 270-300 when they are straight but like most I slice

That will for sure influence lie angle. Some drivers can be positioned more upright to get the toe more up but a lot can be to do with your height and distance from the ball as well - Thomas
