What's the best lightweight EDC tool solution? (Victorinox Super Tinker)

I got this for those days when I don't want to carry a larger EDC pouch (as shown in my first video) and want a decent multi tool.
I forgot to mention in the video, at the time this video was made this cost £26.85 on Amazon.

I’ve had the very same victorinox since 1987. My dad bought it for me when I joined the forces. It’s seen numerous tours of NI, Bosnia, Iraq. Many camping trips up and down the lakes and snowdonia and it still is like a new knife today. Holds a razor edge and now retired to living on my car key. It’s an amazing bit of kit. Great video 👍

I carried a Leatherman Wave+ for many years and loved it. I recently got into SAKs and it got me thinking about why I'm carrying this Wave+ when I can carry something like a Swiss Champ which is about the same size, half the weight, and has twice the number of tools. Now I EDC a Swiss Champ and the Knipex XS pliers and I feel more equipped than when I just had the Wave+. Good video!

Mmm…still a lot of gear when you’re wearing shorts, I think. You got the flat head driver on the Victorinox, that’ll do. So ditch the prybar.

You need your pliers and screwdrivers to be separate tools for handling nuts and bolts, so with Tinker Deluxe you'd still need a screwdriver. Perhaps the prybar could serve for that purpose but I'd argue that with Knipex Cobra XS you have better pliers than the one in Tinker Deluxe and screwdriver tools of SAK don't leave redundant like they'd be if they were combined with the same tool as pliers.

A Rambler modded with Titanium scales and a Titanium pocket clip + Rovyvon A8 G4 is what I carry. Use them pretty much every day, can't say I'd use pliers every day.

Nice compact set, I've been using the Cybertool version without the pliers. There's lacking a few things like a file and saw, though I don't use them a lot. It does have a pen and pin that I use quite often. I've added a paperclip that's very handy.

Nice to find a UK EDC channel in the wild 😆 The American ones are ok but they have some insane pocket knives that we can’t get so easily, but then also they don’t seem to know the greatness of SAKs. Subbed!

I choose a deluxe tinker with pliers vor my edc kit. No knipex pliers needed (in small edc pouch)

Nice video 🙂 I always carry a Victorinox Huntsman in my pocket, I think for about four years now. Most of the times I also have an Opinel No6 because I like it a lot and a flashlight that my dad gifted to me 😄

Excellent video and configuration, I like how you approach the EDC concept, I try to do the same thing, except for carrying a knipex (I have the 125mm one), my configuration is similar (Victorinox Explorer), and a minichamp on the keyring. Today I met your channel and you have a new subscriber.

I have about 15 Swiss Army knives. I love them! Different tool sets for different occasions.

I went with the Victorinox huntsman, added plus scales for the pen👍 Victorinox bit kit, Knipex xs, lumitop edc1 torch.

I switched over from a SAK Super Tinker to the Compact. If I'm not mistaken, it's the thinnest 91mm that contains scissors. Also, you have one tool that integrates both the can/bottle opener. The Compact also includes a pressurized pen. Such a fantastic little tool. Then again, all SAKs are 👍 Fantastic vid, btw.
