When I did my turbo it was between the GT45 and eBay 7875. I picked the 7875 because it weighs less! 87 Mustang with 100% stock 5.0 motor went 12.34 @ 112 on less than 9 psi. Still tuning and turning it up!

I went with the cheapest 7875 I could find for my f-body few years back cause the gt45 was to fat and rubbed on the radiator. I had plans of upgrading or resizing turbo later but its all i'll ever need or want. But I kinda do prefer the sound of my 10 blade vgt on my 6.0 Powerstroke these days lol

What's safe boost for my old 350? Got a TBi 350 in my 87 silverado. GT45 for me too, but regulate the boost down? So I don't kill the old engine. Maybe 50 hp wouldn't hurt anything.

0 psi is the only safe level lol. If you have fueling to keep it safe, you can run all the boost you want. With a TBI, you probably don't have the fueling.

You can get 802 horsepower from a gt45 yes you can, with a Cam an heads no problem

Not at the wheels. Even though you "can" make 800 at the crank the boost curve is going to fall off. The turbo will be a restriction and the back pressure will be high. It's a great turbo for a realistic goal of 600HP. I will continue to buy them for sure

Right on most people will break their shit before getting past 600 hp. With power comes cost of doing business like a trans that isn't total bone stock 1980's. How about the rear end and drive shaft parts. Never forget the endless amounts of tires because you are going to fry them to the cords and throw sparks. I get a lot of stuff like you for cheap at the u pull. My truck or Tahoe doesn't know the difference between a 150.00 tire and 80.00 full set tires from the u pull. 🍺🍺
