Hi Chewy, question! I tried this move in class during a live roll and one of the blue belts (I am a white belt) tried pushing my head towards a guillotine immediately when I leaned forward. During a live roll i'm sure it's safe to say you have to be fast with head placement or am I missing something?

Awesome variations thanks. Do you think the second pass where you spin them is better vs a bigger opponent? I’m a smaller guy. On the first variation I️ feel I️t would work with someone more your size or suppose your opponent is tired out already. Just wondering. Thanks again!

3:23 what if he wraps your head with his left arm and gets his right arm underhook breaks your grip. uses his left leg in the middle and rolls you over right side . then keeps his right arm underneath after the roll . and cement mixxers you on to your back then takes full mount from there? then what happens?

I'm a big fan of your beard! Do you ever have issues with its lushness getting snagged when someone is trying to grab your collar or wrap around your neck? That's how I know it's time to shave.
@Spahl342 жыл бұрын
I needed this because I just got smashed by someone by someone with a good butterfly guard. Chewy, what’s your favorite sweep from guard? And do you think it’s ok to dominate other white belts when you are a advanced white belt or should you go easy on them?
@guam585 жыл бұрын
Aloha Professor, when you have that overlook over both legs and you start the cartwheel over the opposite of your head. Is the other technique to instead to flip legs over their head to get more pressure? Is one technique more advantageous than the other? If so what details could you provide to show pros and cons of both. I just used both the other day and the hop over to side control my partner caught on and started catching the lead leg and shrimping out allowing for guard recovery. The leg flip over the head smashed his arms and allowed me to get to side control. He did block my attempt to side control, so I just went north south.
