What's the Difference Between SharkBite (1st Gen) and SharkBite Max?

Really wondering about no pex stiffener on the max ???? That’s strange how strong is the connection vs the original with stiffener??

would be curious to see what the blow off pressure is - i have a feeling the new max won't last as long as the original.

@@two7plumbing interesting. Is it blowout pressure though that it withstand a better? Because blowout is different than blowoff, regardless id be curious how they grip so tight with much less push on resistance

@cynic256 I'm not entirely sure. I just know the new max fittings have a 250 psi rating whereas the traditional Sharkite push to connect have a 200 psi rating.

I had my first sharkbite max failure last week. The bite ring was misshaped and it blew apart when i turned the system on. Was brand new and right outta the pachage.
