What's the Difference Between Traditional and Reblooming Azaleas?

In central Texas, I have a spot next to some Lime Light panicle hydrangeas, where they get sun from 9-2pm in the hottest summer. Do you think the encore Azalea will do good in that condition?

My newly planted encore pink azalea died this summer in the hot summer zone 7 Virginia sun. If I plant another, I don't think I'll do it in full afternoon sun.

We are sorry to hear that, Vincent! Our growers grow in the full Southern sun, but they do need frequent watering that first year.

@@Encoreazalea Thanks for your response. However, I don't want to go through that experience again. I was watering regularly but we had a one month drought with no rain. I think I will grow a tradition pink azalea in partial shade instead.
