So... I have a dilemma and i need your help. I bought a Freewrite second hand, fell in love with it the moment I started using it. However, the previous had cats.... and somehow, the inside of the keyboard smells like cat spray. What is the best way to clean the inside of the keyboard? Also, do the keys pop off like a normal keyboard?

Hi! If it's a 2nd Gen, you can remove the keys like a regular mechanical keyboard . Soak the keys in a bowl of soapy water and let fully dry before putting back on. You can also clean around the switches with a slightly dampened cotton/cloth swab. Just MAKE SURE everything is dry!
