I first heard Rory on the Live in Europe album. It changed my playing approach forever. Melodic, inventive, his style was unique and always exciting. The second track, Laundromat, is still one of ten songs I would be sure to have with me on a desert island.

That's a great song. I love the way he could play bluesy but then blend elements of Celtic music or incredible melodies into it too!

When adding those Rory Gallagher "short breaks" in the phrasing is called what in music theory?

I guess the correct theory term would be a "rest" because if we were writing this out as proper sheet music, we would notate the break with a rest which shows silence.

@LeighFugeGuitar they seems different than normal Rests. I'm not sure what classical composer used these rests breaks like Rory Gallagher uses them
