Hi I really like your video, it was very fun and interesting to watch with a lot of info. I took a quick view on your channel and you seem to have very good information about Madeira. I am planning to go to Madeira now at the end of April/beginning of May for a week and I would like to go around in a van/motorhome as it feels like you get to experience a lot more of it and to stay that way instead of in a hotel, however, I can't find any information about freecamping etc. in Madeira, is it possible to rent a van/motorhome there or can you rent it in, for example, Lisbon and take a ferry across, can you even drive it there, etc., etc. I found it very difficult to find any information about it on the internet. Do you know anything about this? Kind regards
@Hittheroadmadeira8 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you very much for the kind words 🙏 yeah ok, there’s a lot there. For me to really help you I’d have to know what kind of scope and objectives you’re looking for. I have a service on Patreon (link is in the description) for a video call. This is the best way I can help you, by going through all the finer details to find a solution together. Very soon I will be releasing a new free product on Patreon, where I explain how to tour madeira in deeper fashion, that might help you if you decide to not book the video call? There are great ways to do it here in Madeira, and I’d be happy to help you plan everything :)) Have a great Sunday! 🤠

Hi! My husband and I will head to Madeira this March but we are oldies so we are really not into hiking and the likes. Can you please advise as to where we can go and still enjoy the place. Will appreciate your thoughts.

Hey Jeff you vlog fall months and spring, No winter? I will be on the Islannd Jan Feb & mid March. Is this sub tropical Mediterranean climate bearable that time of the year. I will be living in Machico, maybe you can do a video tour starting from there... I know I have to prep for any climate, not great at hiking so motorcycles and autos is best....Keep up the good Vlogs.😎

Thanx Doug, yeah I wanted to do a Summer video and an autumn video but things just got a bit out of control. Lots of work for everybody and planning and filming vlogs became more and more difficult. Check out the description for our blog post, where you can find all the information you need regarding the weather ;) Enjoy Machico and book a tour with us if you dare ;) cheers!

Hi! Your videos are my favorite but when you are editing them you should add an audio dynamic compression to your vocal track. This will even out the volume differences between the shots so your viewers won't have to have their finger on the changer volume button. Glad to give further audio suggestions anytime.
@Hittheroadmadeira3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Lisa! Yes, we had audio troubles in the beginning 😂 this vlog is only like 10 months old so I really think we’re still in the beginning stages ;) and we got better mics now ;)) but I’ll let Andre know cause it’s a great tip thank you!

Which hikes and waterfalls you recommend for people afraid of heights like me???
@Hittheroadmadeira3 жыл бұрын
Deb it's all about perspective, I don't know afraid you are so it's hard for me to give you a clear cut answer. Many people have told me they terrified of heights and then we do the Peaks hike and they do just fine... The hike in the video is actually pretty good for you, no drops at all. Otherwise, try levada dos balcoes, it's short and sweet and not very scary ;)

Looks absolutely beautiful, however masks totally ruin that beauty. Seeing people so submissive and frightened is heart wrenching. Masks are used as a symbol of fear, to keep us passive and anxious. If masks weren’t worn we wouldn’t be aware of anything different in life. On an island with 250,000 people and 971 ‘cases’ I find the use of face masks totally unnecessary (especially outside!). I’ll bring my family to visit Madeira when masks aren’t a requirement as I can’t bare to look at them :(
@Hittheroadmadeira3 жыл бұрын
Hey Matt, glad you enjoyed the video! The masks here aren't that bad, it's more in indoor spaces and where social distancing cannot be practiced. If you look at the numbers, we're doing great keeping the pandemic at bay, under 20 new cases yesterday I think it was 17... Anyway, we're a small island and everybody here knows it, wearing the mask and disinfecting everything properly is the small price we pay for our safety at the moment, whether it's a sign of oppression or not is really not up to us to decide. Anyway, I wouldn't wait to visit bud, Madeira is beautiful with or without masks ;)
