Nice that you maintained a generally positive attitude during the first game. With 6 player classic fixed it frequently seems impossible to recover from the initial silliness of other players being obsessed with grabbing certain continents and wasting lots of troops trying to acquire them. Slim's approach of playing 4 player classic fixed is much less prone to that problem turning into something unrecoverable, but the 6 player version is much more interesting. 6 players can't really be stable even if everyone cooperates and it's so easy to be fatally hamstrung by other players' opening moves. Your losses are much more interesting to watch and learn from than your wins at this point. Thank you for sharing them.

Hey man, I don’t have a chance to make it to your streams, but I have been binging your channel lately and you have single handedly gotten me into Risk. (Currently ranked 85k) Sorry to hear about your personal troubles brother. While no words from a stranger will be life changing, maybe this will mean something. What has happened is that you have learned a great bit about yourself, and your wife has learned a lot about herself. For better or worse you now know better how you show love, how you need love to be shown to you, and what you ultimately want/need in another person. I spent my whole life thinking in binary and now it's something I'm super cautious of. I'm what's called a "Predeterminist" which means I don't believe in free will. I'm of the belief that true randomness doesn't exist, if you made a clone of this universe or a clone of the big bang and let both things play out as they were that both universes would end up identical hahaha.

Pete, I’ve watched a lot of your videos and started playing cus of you, I got pretty good quick watching you. Problem is for me is I find a lot of my games getting ruined by bad players and dumb plays by them. Is there any way to avoid this? Or just part of the game. I found out patience is usually the key, and a lot of times when I stick it out I win. But it’s frustrating. I’m 45-98 been playing like 3 weeks

It depends on the settings. This is much more of a problem in classic fixed than progressive but people making mistakes and ruining your game is very much inherent to Risk

Hey Pete, does Hasbro actually do anything about collaborators? I honestly think I just need to find a group of players that are trustworthy, because random global domination matches are just awful right now. About 2/3 of my games are obviously filled by either one person running two accounts or a friend sacking for another friend. I’m just so done with getting yoloed by the “weaker” account so the “stronger account” can pick up a huge territory bonus on turn 1 and no one else can do a thing about it. Then the weaker account does everything in its power to protect the stronger accounts bonus until it can start expanding. An actually fun game at this point is hard to come by.

Hasbro doesn't seem to notice this game exists. As far as what smg does, I feel they need to develop a simple system to hard block multiple accounts from playing eachother ranked more than once within a reasonable amount of time for the ranking system to move toward having integrity.
