We're ready to roll again with this week's episode, which is slightly different from our usual style. It's still full of adventure and shenanigans, but we also wanted to have a real talk about a topic that we think is super important in our lives, and something that hopeful cruisers might be able to gain some insight from. Humans are social creatures, and the sailing lifestyle presents a lot of challenges to having a healthy and fulfilling personal life. When you're constantly on the move and away from family, it can become hard to have a real sense of community. BUT we also have the ability to meet likeminded people who are also looking for connection in a way that isn't as common on land. This was the most relatable videos we have watched from you guys in some time. The wife and I have a 3yr old turning 4 in a few months time. We have watched your vids for years, inspired us to join our local sailing club, and have dreamed of buying a boat and cruising. Oops sorry another thought. Are you going to be able to visit Rangiroa Attol (normally some Aussies anchored in Lagoon) . Love the diving, you can swim each afternoon with the Dolphins who play with you for the whole scuba dive. Each morning its time to swim with the reef sharks and do a drift dive into the lagoon to the fish nursery. Also Recommend Bora Bora for great diving and Sail Boarding. Marquesas Island is the birthplace of Polynesia with incredible historic sites, great markets, and wonderful people, yep great diving as well. So all the Island in the Tuamotus and the Marquesas are are not to be missed so much to see and experience so spiritually uplifting with incredible welcoming locals. ❤🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️🇦🇺

Kaza, I never had kids but can totally relate to what you were trying to say about having time to be yourself. I've seen many people becoming parents and gradually moving into that lifestyle and away from what they did before and some people seem to have more difficulty giving up their old lives than others. It's only natural to miss your old freedom and to crave it occasionally, it's a very human thing to do because your growing family fills your life so much and at times it will become overpowering which can seem very restricting. Of course a good healthy relationship with your family more than makes up for the loss of freedom you once had but when you get a little bit of time away you will notice the huge contrast and probably enjoy it more than having it all the time !

The Woo Hoo never gets old. Sierra is gowning up so fast and speaks so clearly. Our grandson is three years old and talks a lot, but I pretty much don't understand 80% of what he's saying. It's nice that you can choose your neighborhood, socialize when you want, alone time when you want.

Preserves not syrup on waffles. I have two very old friends who sailed since the 70s. One on a Bristol made trimaran, another on a custom made boat from France, both are now on land having spent their adventure well. One day that may be you, you have a wealth of knowledge to do so much if they day comes.
