What's up with Reeb?

Between my wife and I, we've had 9 REEBs since 2016 and they've been great as a brand all around. In a time when it feels like most of the other bike brands I've owned were problematic, either with poor customer service or constant maintenance problems, all my REEB bikes have been nothing but awesome and dealing with the folks there is always a great experience. It's been really exciting seeing them grow as a brand over the years and I've been really stoked on everything we've had from them.

It's great seeing what you have done with Reeb and with giving back to the mtb community and getting kids back on bikes. Being an adaptive rider, and getting out and riding I too have helped ppl and kids get back into biking despite their physical limitations. I want to keep this momentum and help others that want to get into biking that dont want to let their physical limitations hold them back from getting back on or for their first time on bikes. Keep up the great work cuz in away you have inspired me with giving back to the mtb community.

My SST is the best bike I've ever owned, and it's your involvement that got me in the door, but it was the guys in the barn in Lyons that took the time to walk me through everything, show me the shop and talk me through the tech, geometry and materials that sealed the deal. They love bikes as much as I do and it shows! Now I want a Steezl!

You certain brought this brand to my attention, the Additive tech got me even more interested, then there was the SST review..... BAM! Midnight blue SST as my daily driver. Best trail bike I've ever ridden, solid for the Connecticut Tech trails. You and REEB are killing it!

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBossI put 36 miles on it this weekend and absolutely loving it! I run a pretty fast rolling tire on the rear and it’s still a absolute traction factory on tech climbs. Glad you posted this vid. What made me want this bike besides the geo,looks and travel number were how cool the brand seems! I’ll update you on your next vid when I’ve put a good bit more miles on it!

Hey Jeff, REEB definitely makes some cool bikes, with some cool tech, some day I'll get that far north and swing a leg over one, see what they're about. Did a little browsing on their site and noticed in the frame chassis configuration they state that the fork steerer is already "cut to length" for you and I have to say, I find that a little disconcerting seeing how little adjustment a lot of manufacturers leave you with pre-cut steerers. Personally I prefer to have the option to decide just how long I want my steerer to be as I might want to share/swap it between another frame or on a different frame down the line or even just sell it.

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss I lived near Lyons for a while and learned about them there. A friend let me know they were developing the SST and I got a decent deal. If they still made a single speed hardtail I would have bought one of those too.

I’m not a real big technical rider but I’m working in bigger chunkier rides. I go back and forth between the southwest and western North Carolina trying to keep up wity my friends. I think the SST is more than capable of everything I do but want to open up as many trails as possible. I’m also a tiny dude so the bigger travel bike may be a bit much.

Jeff, have you ever thought about pushing the idea of steel trials bike on Reeb? I've tried to do it ~15 yrs. ago with some small steel frames manufacturers but BB shell (weight, clearance, stiffness) was always a problem. Now with additive manufacturing it should be possible.

I actually have a 27 five trials bike that they made me and we have made a couple competition style frames but right now we are focusing on these two steel suspension bikes. It’s definitely possible down the road.

It’s hard for a lot of people to justify the cost when they compare them to frames made overseas. We’ve gotten quotes to have them made in Taiwan for $65 a frame! We still make them one at a time so it just costs us a lot. It’s definitely not for everyone but you can’t compare them to a Honzo or some other mass produced bike. That said, we are looking at ways to bring the cost down to make them more accessible!

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss That's good to know. I ordered a custom Marino frame for $550 with Reynolds 853. Takes about 6 months to get built but that's one of the downsides. If Reeb could get under $1k for a hardtail that would be cool.

One of the coolest brands out there from a tech perspective next to Atherton bikes. I love that REEB does it different. Definitely a dream bike for me...I also had no clue the lads behind dales were the REEB guys! Totally rad. Love the content JL.
