I have cervical instability which on top of that all of the symptoms you outline in most of your vagus nerve videos and the multiple physicians I’ve seen here in west Texas have no idea why I’m having the in-compasanating symptoms. This is so incredibly true to what I experience sporadically. I’ve looked into prolotherapy and have found it is not covered by insurance. I wish to God some one some where could properly diagnose me. It is embarrassing for me to even to have to interact with my family much less anyone else. I lose complete control of my body whenever I wake up with these symptoms.

Great presentation. Like many ADHD patients I have had so many of these symptoms over such a long while. I have found success with chiropractic functional neurology- but it is so hard to explain to people the reality of these symptoms. Yes- moving the eyes is an issue. Yes- afterimages. Yes- looking at something and not seeing it.

I was hit by a stolen car going 120mph and went over a cliff. I broke c5/6 with anterior wedge fracture and now have retrolithesis and multiple other issues. I have been in eye therapy at our local university Abi/tbi eye therapy center and have prism glasses- but the bigger problem is that these symptoms don't stay consistent. I have binocular vision dysfunction- are there any contraindications for treatment? Cases you wouldn't accept? And I am in Arizona- so if I came for treatment, I understand it can take 8-10 treatments? Would this require multiple visits? Are you working to teach other providers your treatment approach? Thank you so much for all of your dedication, hard work and information you share!!

All these symptoms are characteristic of Lyme and co-infections. Lyme and other tick infections will eventually cause all kinds of nerve dysfunction. Bartonella is an epidermic and is especially detrimental to the brain and eye. You all need to get blood work done for Lyme.

I was a professional therapist for 25 years- very well respected until a car accident and broken neck- when I tried to seek treatment, I got the same thing 🙄 my teeth felt like I needed root canals- so I went to the dentist who only said my teeth were fine and acted like I was crazy- turned out it was from the trigeminal nerve- so disgusting a dentist didn't know this and they find it easier to label you as crazy when they don't know or understand

That happened to me (a mix of both cases). A neurologist said I have MS. Maybe, but is it possible it's really my vagus nerve? My neck is stiff, the symptoms came strongest after whip lash from car accident and since the whiplash, I have what I call nocturnal focal seizures. But my neurologist blames EVERYTHING on MS now that he labeled me. I have always been extremely flexible since before kindergarten. I had my thyroid out at 23 yrs old. I'm 53 now. The car accident 2 yrs ago created intense memory loss including forgetting my 5 children's names. I had to think of the first letter of their name to bring their name to memory. I couldn't remember numbers or details longer than 3 seconds. Yet, I knew who I was, whete I was and the date. I lost short term memory capabity so had to quit some classes I was taking for functional nutrition. I had strange eye issues and unexplainable anxiety and nightmares. I have had virtually zero care over these issues. I have refused drugs for MS so the doctors don't want to treat me at all. They basically leave me feeling like it's my fault I have symptoms. However the only drug my insurance will pay for has a side effect of liver cancer. My mom just died of liver cancer so to me, I don't see it as a sensible option when strict diet control shows benefits. I eliminated gluten, dairy, pork, MSG, artificial sweeteners, most lectins such as nightshade veggies, beans, etc, and all table sugar. I eat mainly grass fed/grass finished meat and butter. I only use sea salt or Himalayan salt and olive oil for cooking. I eat all organic and consume spoonfuls of coconut oil at a time. I eat green Olives a lot ( a jar a day) because I need extra sodium for some reason. I regularly consume cacao mixed with coconut milk to soften and monk fruit to sweeten, pistachios, green tea, blueberries, plain Greek yogurt, and coffee pretty much every day. I bounce between 112 lbs and 126 lbs. Sometimes in a single week depending on water retention. All symptoms worsen during my menstrual cycle. I have very low blood pressure dropping to 57/38 one time at my doctor's appointment. I think I have hypoglycemia but no tests have been done. I can't consume sugar or I react but I can eat 100% raw honey if the bees consumed yellow clover. I can't eat fiber or my system jams. I take in some fiber foods in nuts and Olives etc as stated above but if I eat cruciferous Veggie, I get destroyed for days. I feel toxic/drugged or poisoned when constipated. I control it all pretty well however everything you say about the vagus nerve sounds right to me. I have swallowing paralysis as I attempt to swallow. My jaw feel misaligned some days and I get slightly nasal sounding but no congestion. Ugh! My doctors avoid me like the plague because I won't take a single drug including Tums or Tylenol. I choose chemical free so I always know what my body is saying. I always feel like I have a knot inside my left should blad and sometimes pressing on my neck, right below my skull takes headaches away. I told my doctors I feel like my brain is being pushed into my ears when I get brain fog, but they don't even comment then move on to their next step to get the appointment over. I have low nutrient absorption. I test low on iron, Zinc, copper, vitamins A, D, and E and did have my gull blades removed. I demanded these tests. They refused forever saying my problems didn't have to do with vitamins. Yet all my levels were SUPER low! They still don't care except about the iron. My B vitamins test great. I have stopped consuming calcium, coffee and polyphenals close to times I eat iron plus eat pistaccios for copper before consuming iron. That seems to have fixed my iron. But I also have frozen feet though warms to the touch. I get invisible tremors throughout my body then get narcolepsy followed by passing out and waking with a focal seizure (feeling of falling plus heart issues). Even after waking, I can't stop the falling sensation or heart issues for a few minutes. Plus I can't always respond by waking. I feel paralyzed.I know it's happening but can't move. I can force movement but feel like my body is 500 lbs. However, sometimes I feel like my brain is leaving my body like I'm about to die, so I force myself to quickly sit up and come to. Then walk it off for about a minute. I don't feel right so go back to sleep. It returns up to 4 times in a row.

Hi I have EDS(genetically tested) and I have many of your mentioned issues also i had tribble tinnitus and then I start to have vertigo. I had standard MRI and was dismissed that is just anxiety.Anyway cut long story short... One morning when ringing in my head and vertigo was so bad that there is no way I could go to work I put my neck brace on and In 30 min my life changed !!! there was no ringing no vertigo and my vision was perfect! Took my brace off and ringing comeback ,but not so strong. So for now I keep wearing my neck brace on/off until I can get proper diagnosis and have to tell to my GP what tests she have to send me for , lol

I have these: 1. Some minor pain swallowing water or other liquids. 2. Ringing in the ears for minutes (duration is different every time it starts). 3. Some facial pain 4. Some pain the back of my neck. 5. When I drive, my left arm starts to hurt from the inside at around the shoulder area, bicep, and forearm. 5. Minor headache that feels like ringing 6. I was playing video games and I started feeling dizzy and I had to stop. 7. Blurred vision at times. 8. Pressure in the forehead and nose.

Hi vidfreak727, Sorry to hear that, and everything you've listed makes sense to us from a potential structural cause in the neck. We hope that you are able to work with a provider who can help you determine if you have a structural reason for your symptoms. These are symptoms that are very common for us to help in our center. I've been following you for awhile and find your vids helpful. I have lots of weird symptoms. My eye doc believes I may have visual snow, also ghosted images (some), swallowing problems, vibration feelings in my head along with some other weird things. One thing in particular -- my hairdresser keeps telling me to hold my had straight - it leans, according to her. My ENT told me to straighten my head as well when he was doing a procedure. Maybe my spine might be shifting - maybe nothing more than always holding my work phone between my head and shoulder. In any event, I wish you were here in Phoenix area. I do not know what kind of doc I should be seeing in addition to all the ones I am already seeing for everything - Cardiologist for AFIB, Pulmonary for Pulmonary Hypertension, ENT for swalloing problems etc etc Any advice?

Hi Angela P, We do not know of anyone doing all of the types of tests we do. We are a unique center and always working with technology representatives to look into new tests and which types of tests can best show various anatomy that is being affected in our patient population. We are constantly researching and working on this aspect of our practice because the types of complex cases we see here really need this level of dedication to the field. We do try to discuss what we're learning and seeing in our patients in our videos, research articles, and blogs to try and help others even if they cannot be seen in our center. But we do understand that it can be frustrating to not have other centers like this everywhere and that many patients feel they are trying to piece together their own case because no local doctor is able to put it all together for them. Sorry that you have been experiencing this and we wish you all the best in your quest for answers and finding the ideal treatment for your symptoms.
