It's ONE of my favourite PARTS of the video! You can study his face and chewing but it's almost impossible to tell what his verdict is before he's done! Every time I watch the video I'm like "I'm gonna catch the moment he either likes it or doesn't like it"... but it never happens, the man has a poker face! :D I don't know why I enjoy it so much but I do!

Oh! I work at Popeyes. The bread gets buttered and toasted before assembly, the toaster dealie is probably responsible for the smashing tbh if not the way the buns are stored. I get my sandwiches free and unsmashed tho :p

@@MainComputer Yeah that can be a problem, the toasters don't get maintained very well and it can be a pain to make them actually toast. Also, wings etc are typically done in house, but sandwich fillets are brought in pre processed, battered and fried, so there is a case for corporate cheaping out, it can also depend on which distributor is sending in the meats cause I've seen a massive size difference from week to week.

I hear Popeyes had astronauts on the International Space Station working hard on researching this sandwich for the past two years. Apparently, the havarti cheese and bacon can only be assembled with the chicken in micro-gravity. If your order takes some extra time at the drive-thru window take that into consideration. Atmospheric re-entry guarantees a warm sandwich at least.

I never comment on your reviews just because I don't eat a lot of fast food and when I go, I always get the same thing from only a handful of places. Don't be so hard on yourself because even if you don't like it, others will. We are all different. An honest review is something we can always count on from you. They have a blackened bacon, spicy blackened bacon and spicy bacon versions too. I've had issues in with Popeye's chicken sandwiches in the past but that was always execution and not the size or amount of chicken in the sandwich, that was always hefty and itself not an issue. I think you may have gotten a one off but who knows the way they cut back everything these days it could be a trend.

During Lent I wanted to try Popeye's fish sandwich and was so excited. When I opened my sandwich, they gave me a chicken sandwich and put tartar sauce on it- I mean really? The breading is totally different but actually, it was a really tasty sandwich.

I agree with your assessment of that new Popeyes chicken and bacon sandwich Reviewbrah..........They never match the photo in the ad.......I feel like I'm getting ripped-off everytime I buy a sandwich just by looking at the picture of it.......That sandwich that you reviewed showed a small piece of overly breaded chicken fillet that was too small to fully cover the bun leaving you to get a mouth full of bread without any chicken in it.........I'll pass on this one for sure.......

I thought it was outstanding. I’ve asked Popeyes officials since they released it, to add a cheese. The Havarti cheese was an excellent choice! They surprised me by also adding bacon! About time!! One note though.. I think the spicy version is just a bit better. Another flavor punch if you will. You got a stinker with the chicken filet. It isn’t all the time. The last one I bought was enormous!

Before adding any new items, they need to focus on their customer service skills. I once sat in a hour long drive thru for that stupid chicken sandwich. the location drive thru pretty much kept you trapped til getting to the window. no room to drive out of it. I will never go back, never to any location

Used to love Popeyes but after Burger King bought then out they went down hill A LOT. The prices got higher but portions got smaller and quality got worse. It's 13.99 for a 5 strip meal, if they were the original strips I'd probably except it but the new strips are smaller and don't taste as good. Really saddens me.
