The way I got it across to my grandmother that touching people wasn't okay was using service dogs as an analogy. "Grammy would you pet a stranger's dog without permission? No, cuz it might be dangerous and it's just rude. So why are you treating other PEOPLE with less courtesy?"

Story 3 reminds of a time my husband and I stayed at his parents house. I was 6 to 7 months pregnant at the time and our personal schedules were a bit chaotic because my husbands was working a night shift and going to school. I work up early that morning to see my MIL watching us sleep in the door way of the room. It was extremely weird and unsettling. She never said a word about it and I didn’t bring it up. I don’t waste my time or energy on people who are unreceptive to any kind of mature conversation. I knew I would either be gas lite or they would act if I was the strange one. I just took to locking that door anytime we would stay which wasn’t often. Later on she want on to say something about how they doesn’t lock doors at her house and it made me laugh to myself. All I could do was to think about was how you had to unless you wished to get spy on in the middle of the night. Bonus note was my husband was sleeping naked thank goodness he was completely covered up at the time.

Clicked on another story day before yesterday, ready to settle in and enjoy the video as though hanging out with my best friend. Suddenly, I heard someone else's voice starting to narrate. Scrambled to find my remote because the experience felt so jarring and wrong! It was in that moment that I realized the video I had picked was from "Mostly Facts" instead...as I had simply glanced at the channel name before pressing play. I've come to enjoy this channel so much that watching these videos feels like I really am hanging out with a best friend! When the video I chose accidentally wasn't "The Mainly Facts Guy," it legit upset me a little. 😅 Love ya, Mainly Facts Guy! Thanks for what you do. Most of the time, our opinions are in alignment on things. Makes me want to hang out with you for real. I feel like you're probably a really cool guy and a fairly good person overall.

Trigger warning, this happened when I was 25/26: it was July, my uncle was staying over with us, mom dad and sister went out on the lake, brother was at work. We (uncle and I) were just watching some anime together, and he started to snuggle me. I thought nothing was wrong at that point because we in the living room next to ax vent blowing cold air in, so thought ok, he just wanted platonic cuddles to keep warm. Nope, because next he started rubbing my back, which also didn't Trigger me because thought he was trying Tobe a good uncle. He then starts to rub around thighs, I was extremely nervous about it, so didn't say anything about it. He then kisses me for no reason I can think of (we're freaking blood related so yeah.) This happened on two days during I think a weekend I'm July ( can't remember the exact time frame, sorry.) The reason I am writing this is because I think it's important to tell that, so people can understand that you should try to be aware that not everyone has your best interests in mind. Oh, almost forgot: I did tell mom and dad about it, they thankfully got him out the second day that happened. I'm fine, sister's fine, no one got physically hurt, at least not in my immediate family

I was once visiting my friend from high school and her boyfriend (they live together) in their first flat, and her boyfriend told me that she had to sleep only on the side of the bed near the wall because she was sleepwalking and sleep talking if she was not. So he told me one story when he slept on the side near the wall and had feeling like he was being watched. So he, still half asleep got woke up by my friend staring at him. He got so scared that he punched her in reflex because he absolutely didn't expect that. She absolutely didn't react and went sleep again. The next story he told me was when she broke his tooth and made a huge bruise on his stomach while she was sleepwalking, smacked him with her huge stuffed bear, throw that bear into the kitchen, got up, sworn like a sailor while picking that bear out of the floor (he was absolutely shocked because he never heard her swore like that before), and went back to sleep. Since that he always let her sleep near the wall despite it was not very comfortable on the other side of the bed. So yeah, found out my friend can be super dangerous while sleepwalking 🤣

When I was in high school I went to France for a week with the French class. I did not take French and a lot of the kids that were in the class couldn't afford to go so the school made it a open invitation trip for anyone who wanted to go. We had spent about 3 days in Paris and had to take a tour bus down to a smaller beach town. We were supposed to take the bullet train there but the workers had gone on strike. So the first morning we were on the tour bus I had sat in the seat over the back right tire an had fallen asleep. I was woken up to the bus tire blowing up underneath me. When we pulled off to a bus stop I had explosive diarrhea because of how nervous I was. This was the very start of having severe anxiety. Now I have to take medication for.

Finally, after what felt like 20 minutes of back and forth, & at my wits end with him i screamed about how we all wish his mom either faked a headache or swallowed the night he was conceived. he went silent and quit shortly after. Ran into him one a few years later as a support rep at our local Verizon where he had to be sooo nice to me bc it was his job. that was over 10 years ago, hope hes doing well.

The best comeback I've ever witnessed was in a math class I took in high school. Our teacher knew how to roll with the punches and banter with some of the students. One guy thought he was funny and said "Hey Miss X! Ever met a Ben Dover?" some chuckles rippled through the class. Barely a pause goes by and she rounded on him saying "no, but I know an Iline Dover" and the class erupted into laughter. Nothing mind blowing, but it was still one of the most witty things I witnessed lol

I was 2 days after turning 12 when my dad died suddenly. Two days later, someone called the house for him. I replied "He's dead" in a completely flat effect when my cousin grabbed the phone away to talk to the person. My cousin was like, "YOU COULD USE A GENTLER TOUCH. LIKE HE'S PASSED ON TO BETTER PLACE OR HE'S AT ETERNAL REST NOW OR JUST TAKE A NUMBER AND LET YOUR MOM HANDLE IT!!!!!" I was so still so shell-shocked, and in denial, it never occurred to me to say anything but the cold hard facts (the doctor at the hospital, when he first saw me and my mom had said "He's brain dead. Only the machine is keeping him alive. We did two brain scans. There's no hope." I think I was mirroring the doctor's bluntness because I was in total denial and had never experienced anything like this before and I was trying to protect myself, but I'm sure that person and my cousin thought I was a psycho.😂

I've unlocked a memory. I'm a female and when I was a teenager and lived with my ex, I woke up one night to the sense of someone staring at me, my boyfriend was sleeping right next to me so I looked over toward the door way and his father was standing there, blankly staring, I'm not sure for how long. It was about two am. He must've realized I was awake because he quietly backed out and left, shutting the door. I looked down and my chest was exposed as sometimes being a girl and sleeping in tank tops does not work out. This still makes me feel super weird and uncomfortable. I never told my ex.

That microwave potatoe fire one when it’s asked who starts a fire in a microwave? I’m watching on the tv but had to pause so I could reply. I started a fire in the microwave when I put our kettle in it once. This was the late 90’s and I was still too young to use the stove but I really wanted hot chocolate. So 5-7 year old me decided to warm water in the microwave, within the kettle. It was mostly metal but had rubber on it. I can’t remember how long it was until it caught fire but I turned the microwave off, put on oven gloves, put it in the sink under cold water then put it in the fridge. I then went to do my own thing until my parents found the hot chocolate filled melted kettle in the fridge. Apparently they were more so worried I hurt myself then impressed I handled it so well to be mad about it.

As for story 2, which takes place in 1997, I am a part-time worker for 25 to 30 hours if I'm extremely lucky. IE. another manager takes a vacation. I'm in college and cannot work full time, even if I could there are only 2 full-time positions at my job. I do not work for a small business the company I work for has a net worth of 7.59 BILLION. I make 16.75 an hour as a retail manager which is well above the minimum wage in my state. However, due to our labor laws with no one being able to work more than 8-hour days ( we are based out of CA which has stringent labor laws) I can never make more than $134 a day in 2023. With inflation from 1997, I should be making almost $30 an hour resulting in $240 a day.... so in 1997, I could afford to live. So literally 2 decades ago I would be making more than double what im making now.

The last story from the first batch. If you are going on dates and immediately telling them how you would get away with killing them, the secret to getaway with murder would be to never tell a soul about your plans, never do searches around your plans on the internet and never write it down. Its how so many people have been caught after committing murder. Im guessing thats why some of the older serial killers got away with it, or they died

Was at the movies with 2 of my friends (18M and 19F), whom are dating. 5 absolute Douchebags were sat behind us. (Kicking our seats, farting, laughing, all that bs) So, we got into a li´l fight, and one of the guys was wearing an orange vest (this is important). And he tried to intimidate me by mimicking an ambulance (?) And he said "that´s where you´ll be at when I kick your f-ing face in". To wich I said "What? A clown car?" Sorry for the siderant lol And if I made any spelling mistakes, my apologies. I´m 17 (as mentioned) And from Belgium, and still learning English after 11 years of speaking the language. Have a great day y´all :)

I went to a predominantly white, upper-middle class school. My sophomore year one of the students in my geometry class threatened to r*** and kill one of the vice principles wife and duaghters. Now, this particular vice principle had it out for this kid, but none of the adults cared. Bit of background. The kid was black and goth. He would wear skirts and dresses to school. He was a sweetheart to other students. Well, after Christmas break, we found out he got committed and expelled due to his threats.

Story 5: " How many vectors does it take to form a basis in R4, and what are the conditions?" Answer: A minimum of 4 vectors, so long as each is not a linear sum of the others (you can test by putting the vectors together as a matrix and ensuring its determinate is not 0). To be fair, it is an easy question for the course, but wtf?

I’m pretty sure in a different video, I saw another video with the woman that punched somebody in her sleep story and the fire story. The video prompt was “what is the stupidest reason you’ve been woken up for?” Or something like that.

Story 2 🤮 yuck...you can only assume the old bat had early stages of Dementia.. don't make it right but might explain a lot...when I was a very young toddler think 3 an old woman strapped to a Jerry chair at the nursing home my mom & Dad worked at used to bring me for the little old ladies with no grand kids to visit they were sane and cool and always gave me candy and cookies behind mom's back..I was trying to walk to my mom it was time to go and this crazy woman strapped to a Jerry chair grabbed my arm and it took 4 orderlies to pry her off me she was full blown Alzheimer's and I never set foot in a nursing home for a while even when my granny got sick and wouldn't visit her.. and my mom told me that when I was 13 and I forgotten about it but she understood why I dislike nursing homes
