I'm the same! Pale skin with blue eyes and natural blonde hair. I barely even get freckles in the sun, so I was shocked to learn that the veins on my wrist looked green! But I was told that that meant I had a neutral undertone?

I'm not sure if you're neutral or olive but it's definitely worth looking into. Growing up (I'm 43 now) I would always use neutral foundations bv the cool looked pink on me and the warm looked yellow. But it still wasn't a perfect match. I know that I have blue and green veins, I'm pale as snow in the winter but don't burn easily in the summer. I'm Greek and I've noticed alit of southern medditerranian folks have olive undertones. When I'm sick my mom would always tell me you look "green" I look awful in pastels and bright neon colors but look great in cool neutrals, ivory, warm army greens, cool browns with no red in them, dull copper, muted berry tones, subdued jewel colors, and warm brick red and maroon. I can also pull off gold or silver jewelry but a metal that is a mix of both like a pale 10k gold looks the best. I wish more people would become aware of olive undertones!

Justine introduced me to undertones years ago. Looking more into it you realise it is spectrum as well, so two people of warm undertone will have different perfect colours. Even when you think you're neutral you still probably look better in either warmer or colder shades. I'm cool undertone, but on a scale I would be very far from neutral. My ideal colours are rich, saturated dark cool ones. If I wear grey or pale blue it's quite unflattering. Justine has great videos about colour in general and I trained my eye to see if a shade has more blue in it or yellow and everything comes together. It's really good to know yours. 😊

I'm pretty sure I'm a neutral but here's the thing. Yellow gold does look too good on me but rose and white gold look amazing. I also study seasonal colour analysis because it's pretty accurate when it comes to figuring out what colours look good on you!

It goes even deeper than that for olive toned people! A truly misunderstood and under represented skin tone! Took me YEARS of knowing color theory to finally figure out that I have an olive undertone even though I am very light skinned and caucasion. My overcast is straight up yellow but my veins are both blue and green. I tan very easily and get a wonderful golden tone when I have spent a lot of time in the sun, however in the winter I look very sallow. I have super ashy brownish blonde hair and Hazel eyes. Neutral makeup was always the closest as far as a match but was always too beige on me. It finally dawned on me 2 Yeats ago when olive tone started being discussed more. There are still only a few makeup brands that I have found a match though. Very hard to find a match.

I have a warm undertone and my veins look blue. It's not always an accurate way to determine undertone. A better way is a white vs cream colored shirt. Pure white makes me look sick, but someone with a cool undertone would look good.

My veins look both greenish and bluish, I can never decide. It's a blue-green shade. Personally I prefer silver jewellery. But in South Asian culture, gold jewellery is mostly more popular

Nooo, this test is unreliable! Like me, I’m fully warm but my veins look blue. Also not possible for people with darker skin tones. Draping different colors (like warm salmon pink versus cool light pink) against your face is how you know. Like the grey that makes Justine just radiant. A warm undertone person would look so gray and drained in it!
