That looks fantastic, good job! I’m in a bit of a different situation. I have a 08 ford e350. My drip rails are letting water into the back cargo bay above the doors. I found a few cracks where the rail meets the roof. I haven’t tried anything yet because I didn’t know what material they used from the factory to seal the rail. So it’s basically a caulk? Theoretically I could grind and pick it out, sand blast the rail and use the product you have there to reseal it?

Hi, Pete. Thanks for the video Have you ever tried other polyurethane caulking as a seam sealer for auto body? I’ve used the normal auto body quart-can stuff in the past, mostly cuz it’s in stock at Napa, but I tried the caulking on my own ‘89 jeep last year and it seems good here in Vermont. Oh, and thanks for all your assistance on the ‘coupon repairs’ you did for me LOL Anyways the stuff has worked well for me but hadn’t tried it on a car or truck until then. I didn’t know if you tried and had good or bad opinions of it. It seems to be durable but you mentioned dry time (the stuff I used takes a day or two) and that your product seemed thick (what I used is thick). (BTW loctite ‘door and window’ is my choice as it’s stood up for me in multiple other applications over the years, including boats.)

I only liked to use SEM products for that ...Had shrinking and cracking issues with other so called quality products. I would press out the bubbles and follow up with a little thinner on my finger. let the stuff dry then lightly scuff it before painting. If you use the wrong crap and it cracks what a mess from hell, cause you have to dig that crap out and refinish usually the roof and both quarter panels...I never cheap out on seam sealers...EVER@!........EVER...because your labor is the most expensive thing materials aren't.
