Can I try on these white pants? Point: Don't ask if you don't care (and why would you?) Question: How did she know what elephants feel? Never understood that.

I have found over the years that people really DO NOT want to hear all about it. I would start telling my sad story, and their eyes would glaze over, and they'd get very uncomfortable. So now I just say, Not too bad, and go from there.

You would be surprised at how stupid people can be. I always had a spiel explaining my name, who I was and why I was there. I was a respiratory therapist. I can't explain how many times a patient/family member would ask me about other medications I am not authorized to administer. Yeah, the breathing lady can't give you pain medication, antibiotics or anything other than breathing medicine! Surprise! Most people were okay, some of them actually filed complaints that I would not bring them opioids or insulin 😂

Well then if an honest mistake is so innocent then why doesn't anybody in this day and age in a similar situation look at the waiter and say oh I'm sorry, I forgot to order almond milk, I'm so sorry. I have to remember not to get dairy, if it's no problem, can you please remake it, I'm so sorry. I'll give you a big tip.
