Been absolutely loving and appreciating this content. Hearing the thought process and getting to meet some of the people behind the products we rely on really breathes some life into the whole situation.

I don't even like tent camping (I primarily hammock camp), yet I like hearing about new tents and fabrics. Thank you

Been using it for a year on a Dagger 2p. Can confirm it's awesome.

Hopefully you can tell me what the little rubber thing that is fused on a small loop of cord under the rainfly of the Mayfly OSMO is. There is one on each underside of the rainfly at the apex and located just toward the end of the cross beam. I assume you place the inner loop over the socket end of the cross beam. Is this correct and if not what is it for?

I purchased the Nemo Hornet OSMO 2p tent, used it on a 3 day 2 night trip. The problem I found was that the clips that attach to the tent body attach too high, meaning the tent body closes in fast. When on a 3" air pad my head and feet touch. I traded it in for the MSR Hubba Hubba 2p... both tents have a head to toe floor at 85" I posted a video showing this. Nemo is a great company, not sure how they missed this attention to detail.

Some competition on trekking pole tents would be nice 😊

Is there a freestanding tent. With a traditional nylon and mesh body. With a dyneema rainfly?

My question involves how to clean and dry your tent when packing it up when it gets all kinds of dirt and moisture on it camping. I had paper towels on my last car camping trip when doing this but I didn’t think I’d carry a roll of paper towels when backpacking!!

What if the best performing fabric isnt the most sustainable- if top performance contrasts with what’s most sustainable, which one of these attributes wins out?

performance??? even a question? I aint sitting wet in my recyclable cardboard tent

Definitely performance. I couldn’t care less about sustainability when it’s raining.

I’d happily buy a product that requires seam sealing form time to time. So punching holes, for some people, is not as big of a deal if the longevity is bigger and the price is lower. I like products designed by Nemo but they are out of my price range. I’m happy to sacrifice weight for price.

I like my osmo fabric

Sorry, but expensive staff should be done out of best performing and cost effective resources. Construction is big enough market to absorb recycled materials, as there is much higher need of it. There is huge demand for fabrics for roads is in terms weight. The next one is isolation.
