RIP Earl Thomas Conley 10/17/1941 - 04/10/2019 Thanks for ALL the GREAT music and songs you left for ALL of FANS to listen to.

I have often said that the so-called New Traditionalist movement in country was music's last collective gasp of consequence. And Earl Thomas Conley was one of its leading lights. One of the absolute masters. He is greatly, greatly missed.

My favorite line, She's looking at him with her heart, and not her eyes.

His voice takes me back. To a sunny day in the 1980s when i was a kid. we would hang on the lake with the boat. Fishing, swimming, family get together with picnics. And on any giving country station. They were playing great artists. Real genuine talented artist. And songs that actually meant something. Those days are over now. Now i am a lost in yesterdays

You described my childhood to a T the best day of my life all behind me now. "Lost in yesterday" you said it perfectly

ETC one of the Best there has ever been. These things that call themselves singers today couldn't drive his Bus!

Notice he didn’t have to prance around like a teeny bopper. The voice speaks for itself. My dad is a big ETC fan and got me into his music at a young age, I like it better now than I did then.

That damn voice is magic! There isn’t an act in what is called country music today that comes anywhere close to him.

He really is an awesome singer And I love all of his songs But I gotta say the guy he is singing about in this song just has no consideration for his wife and doesn’t put her first, while his wife does all the compromising.
