@@orangoetan2967[ that is fragmented] but to answer impart would be to start at the beginning!!! what are thoughts 😁thoughts are only memory knowledge experience which is all stored in the brain!! Memory ,knowledge, experience ,is from the past$$ can the Mind live without the past ,in the present??

@@vhawk1951kl It means thoughts are biased. Because they are a product of conditioning. You ONLY know what your mind has accumulated. And nothing more. So it’s biased, one sided, “fragmentary” .

Sometimes his language can sound hard to understand. The word "fragmentary" is an example. You only see thought is fragmented, when you try to control a particular thought, making an effort, judging and trying to supress it for example. The mind only becomes whole again when it realizes that the thought of control has the same essence of the controlled thought, and therefore any tentative of control is impossible, it just enhances conflict and waste of energy in mind. The controller is the controlled, the observer is the observed. So, what should you do? Nothing. There is nothing to do. Only be what you are, don't try to change anything. In this state of being, use all your senses and attention to perceive what you are, to perceive the very beginning of your thoughts without judgement, without control, without a single word. Just be what you are. This attention do not require effort, it should come easily by the moment you realize any effort is waste. There is only effort when you try to be something you are not. So if you are struggling, you are not feeling and being but trying to act on a thought. The beauty of it is that not requiring an action, it means that this passive awareness can be present at any time of your day. But it doesnt come from your will through a system or imposition, but only when you are feeling and seeing everything inside and around you with a deep interest. Not the interest to accumulate knowledge of yourself to get to some desired state, but a interest that comes when you realize that there is nowhere to get, the only thing real and worth it to live is your life in the present moment.

+Alex Khouri In another discussion JK did give a method which he called 'stepping back'. Thought and emotion in many tend to tangle down a loopy rabbit hole of local observation either by letting go or suppression. Stepping back is the process of stilling the body entangle of emotion and letting thought move along to be seen as mere floating labels removed of their pretentious(lie) emotion with finite fragmented fixation. Then a free silence becomes.

Thank you. now, is being aware of oneself a step towards modifying a nondesired behavior. lets say I realize I am greedy. is paying attention. and being aware of it good enough to make the greed disappear? ThAnk you again.
@corpuscallosum4677
@corpuscallosum4677 8 жыл бұрын
K's main teaching is Choiceless Awareness, no-division in our psyche. The description of 'greed" already involves a few steps : first this "I", then the measuring or comparing of being"greedy" or being"generous", and the idea of "how" to control this"greedy I". While he's saying all these are our conception; volition, our measuring. Only in total silence through choiceless awareness can we reach the pathless land. Thanks.

My initial response to this question was that it seemed very odd and not what one should be asking, as if attempting to condition the brain with just another kind of conditioning by looking for some method to impose on itself. But seeing K's response is absolutely amazing. To first point out the fragmentary nature of the brain (we are not speaking of the mind as the questioner asks because that is completely different and not fragmented and also not controllable to make behave a certain way-it is already "right"), should help see the fallacy of thought in any insight into "rightness." The compassion, single (whole) mindedness and patience of this man is incredible and inspirational. To point out that beginning with patience and honesty while showing so much of it is the epitome of truth.

Step 1: Know thyself. Meditate, introspect. Meditation is the bridge to wisdom. Step 2: Live in accordance with your inner wisdom, your inner guidance. This is natural and effortless. Birds of a feather do indeed flock together. You cannot have right behavior without your inner light. Right behavior is never imitated; it arises from your inner light spontaneously, naturally, effortlessly.

One should look at things totally not fragmentally such observation is possible only when the brain is completely attentive when brain is completely attentive what should i do now for the brain to think rightly you look at your wife husband and friend partially our life is fragmented say one thing do another go with all the temples with no sense two are in compatible if you follow so we live a life of hypocrisy we may not want to point that out but that's a fact be competitive ready to kill other violence great contradiction in our life and that contradiction shows our brain brain thinks in contradiction fragmentation so it is possible for the brain to absorb totally when u r living a fragmentary life u cannot see totally it is very simple simple question can u live with great integrity never say live the experience don't repeat what others say man who says I am violent but I am trying to be non violent u r all very silent to live a life as we do it is fragmentary so obvious it is therefore our outlook on life is fragmentary that indicates say nothing and do another brain which is fragmentary and thought is fragmentary anything is fragmentary because thought is the result of experience knowledge experience memory thought brings its actions which is fragmentary think nothing and pretend to do something else this is the nature of thought thought can never be honest thought is fragmentary question I ask brain cannot perceive the whole that the what is one to do don't pretend don't put all masks when u meet a important person u to have a brain not fragmented slow down pause observe look at it to see something completely u can only do that when u hear completely or u listen to what speaker is saying completely to listen or listening i have heard that before this is what i read in books its all indicate that u r not listening to listen completely give attention facing problem or u brain is wandering or u r facing all kind of tricks to be aware of u r self choices look at yourself positions your taking the way u sit and look to observe totally without any motive direction that is possible
