Great podcast! Good questions to think about. I am nervous about question #3 ... Just got accepted at Outschool today. I was a professional figure skater - so I am thinking classes on ice skating. Obviously I don't plan on teaching them how to skate from their basement - so I am hoping to create fun classes with the history, music and choreography of skating. Anyone out there wanting this? Not sure. For you, I think classes on the History of the Circus, Juggling and/or Puppetry or Making a Puppet would be your jam and unique! We have a great Circus School in my city filled with homeschooled kids and this is the kind supplemental material for them. Anyway, looking forward to hearing how your experience with Outschool goes.

Just a heads up that you cannot teach on Outschool from abroad. You must be in one of the approved countries while teaching the class. If your into the VIPKID Digital Nomad life this is not an option. I found out the hard way after working on the application for a week so I just want to make sure no one else finds out that way!

Im a UK citizen in Thailand/Vietnam. Does this mean I cannot use Outschool? Do we know the reasons for this and what about if I use a VPN?

Great content. I think I'm going to apply but can't for a few months because I'm not living in Canada at the moment. You mentioned you are on the east coast of Canada. Whereabouts? I'm from PEI, lived five years in Moncton before I went overseas, and travelled around the maritimes busking a bit back in the days before I went overseas.

Great stuff! It seems you are not using Outschool for ESL stuff. If so what would be the reason (e.g., much fewer students from China on Outschool)?

Outschool isn’t an ESL platform. You can teach whatever you want so I’m going to focus on things I’m passionate about such as circus, photography, & cooking!
