the doctors and other people can tell my dad that he needs to cut back on salt but let me tell him then I'm trying to boss him and I don't know what I am talking about. Even if I say your doctor said to not do this and he doesn't believe me.

Hi, @rhondacarter9807, yes it can be hard to tell someone what they need to do. I wonder if you were to try to ask him to help you take better care of him instead of telling him what to do. Would that make a difference? If you'd like to learn more about how to communicate with your dad, you might want to consider our Champion Courses (teepasnow.com/services/one-day-public-skills-champion-course/) or our Care Partner Support Series (teepasnow.com/services/consulting/care-partner-support-series/) where we talk about just this type of thing.

@@teepasnowvideos I've been watching some of the ones you have started uploading from a webinar with dealing with someone that has a development mental issue that has Alzheimers. But will look at some of the others you've mentioned. thanks

Thank you for sharing this! My 68 year old husband was diagnosed last October. I have known he wasn’t the same person for 3-4 years but couldn’t figure out why. Now I know. He wouldn’t go to a neurologist for me so I asked his sister to talk to him and he finally agreed. He still doesn’t think he’s any different. It seems like there have been a lot of changes over the last few months. Can this progress quickly at times? I know there’s no definite way to say what I need to look for next. His doctor says he’s gone from early to moderate stage. Just wondering what’s next.
