Have you ever looked into specialized trucking? This includes car hauling also hazmat chemical hauling as done by Groendyke. Also oilfield work in haulong water, sand or the oil itself.Last one requires both hazmat and tanker endorsements.

Things are reall bad right now. There are no miles to run. All those minimum "guarantees" are pretty much maximum weekly earnings.

Terry, everything you say you want in a carrier, we’ve got over here. I’ve shown every pay statement for years on my channel. We have good culture, home time, equipment, and compensation. Do we have a guarantee? Never come close to needing one.

There is also heavy haul like oil rigs and even houses.A saying goes these companies move the least miles and pay the most.Probably need to know someone thou, a niche market.

I live in Northern Minnesota. Called a popular mid sized carrier last week they said I’d have to be out AT LEAST 45 days before home time. Never heard this before.

Most trucking companies don't pay holidays. Also guarantee pay is crap. That just tells me they don't have freight consistently.

I ask about part discounts, fuel discounts, freight availability etc, terminal drop yard locations. I went from primes regular lease to getting a truck from lone mountain and going to landstar. Gonna save me 3k a month in truck payments alone

I like the Kwik thy have a good groceries to choose from with good prices better than the other truck stops and thy have good showers and the coffee is great especially there Irish cream❤

We don't have a minimum guarantee at Lavy but our guys run. We're swamped busy.

Purportedly, Kwik Trip does not have the same benefits to truckers, as the Kum and Go; Thai massage/fuel/snacks. At the end of a hard day, we just want to be happy...

If I weee OTR I ask if they have a diesel APU because I don’t want the truck starting and waking me up. Tripac thermoking was always running when I had one and it even helped me sleep to drown out other noise. Then healthcare that doesn’t cost a whole weeks paycheck

@@AStriz62486 One immediate benefit I see is getting to go to Kwik Trips constantly. I don’t have any info but most guys that haul for convenience stores, truckstops, seem pretty content.

Speaking of insurance… went to see doctor at company doctor office; can’t be seen cause I’m a company driver and the company doctor wasn’t in. But if ide been lease I could’ve seen doctor. Unreal.

At Roehl you don’t get paid vacation or holidays till after 1 year. And it’s only at $90 a day. What a joke. I’d love to find a company that runs Volvos and contract freight. But not sure of a fleet like that
