Truck drivers everyday experiences are fascinating to me

This is why the trucking industry pays by the mile and not hourly. High probability that we sit around, not getting paid.

Your videos always come at the right time to me! You have some incredible ways of empowering and soothing effects on my brain. OTR started to get me recently, I make good money I can’t complain about this part, but I toss most of it on the roads because of boredom and frustration. I can’t start or maintain a relationship and that sucks! Not to mention the physical damage driving every day does to your body. I let go of my apartment because I was barely there so I’m literally on the roads all day everyday. And you feel kinda stuck in this job/lifestyle once you start it, kinda love/hate relationship. God bless y’ll OTR drivers 🙏🙏

I’ve shown every pay statement, logs, home time for years. We get $14-30 per stop, $100 per 34 hr reset. $150 per holiday, $ per 1,000 pounds for Securement. We get treated with RESPECT. No micromanagement.
@JohnQuest413Күн бұрын
Man when said this what you get for stop pay and switched to the “ZERO” I was 😂😂😂😂. But then when you said here’s what you get for detention and switched to “$0.00” I almost crashed the truck 😂😂😂 then when you went on and on I just couldn’t take it 😂😂😂

That’s how I live my life too. Even if there’s consequences or I end up in a worse situation. I was a manager for a company and I was paid salary, but I had to sit down with the boss because I didn’t like the fact that he started the new pay period on Saturday and work the guys through the weekend with no overtime just to give them off the next Thursday and Friday. He gave me some BS excuse. But yeah, that didn’t benefit me discussing that at all. The majority of people only contest something if it directly affects them. That a good trait you have!
@SeanMcGee-h3v16 сағат бұрын
Wow they really changed. I was there for 2 years.We had detention pay after 2hrs automatically. I was on dedicated out of Allentown. Home for 34hr reset on wknds. I always had full trailer out and empty coming back paid for the empty. Staff was always nice Dad was a nice guy The sons hit or miss.Just had a gut feeling that things weren’t going so great.

Just another crazy company that has policies that are designed to screw the drivers out of money. I've picked up loads for them and they were on such a tight deadline I barely got them delivered on time. They wouldn't give you the pickup number until you called for it. Wich was a pain.

I drove for WEL and your routes seemed similar to mine, like alot of de pere to Allentown, or Alot of tyson to macon, ga........ They love their multi stop cheese loads to snider or Restaurant Depot...... Yeah i hated dealing with their brokers alot of unrealistic appointment times like two hours between a delivery at US Foods and delivery at Restaurant Depot, obviously US Foods is known for being slow at times or dealing with C&S all night.....

Your experience with WEL sounds a lot like my experience with Smith Transport out of Roaring Spring PA, truck was governed at 74(was supposed to be 68 lol) but I would end up sitting all the damn time cause they couldnt keep me running. Youre new company sounds like mine, we run like 2800-3500 and get paid 60cpm , this month been slow though but it was last year and picked up hard in october.

lol i knew it was wel, everybody was saying dart but there isnt a dart trucc going over 65 mph, one lesson i learned out here with companies is. to stay away from companies with sign on bonus's, nobody wants to work there than they jus stretch it out over a larg amount of time so its worthless, second i learned is stay away fron companies with guarentees because for some reason u seem to always just hover around that guarentee, never much more or never much less....anyways good lucc at ya new place. also idk why you didnt end up at ship ex or something? or shoot even a company like clean harbors or something.

Shipex has a scam comp system that ironically makes you the most per mile if you drive the bare minimum to qualify for the guarantee.
