I have a Corvette from 1995 as well, and I agree, it's HEAVY. It would probably be my favourite bass if I just got around to get it re fretted. I don't know who owned the bass before me, but I do know he surely spent 90% of his time on the first 3 frets of the E and A string. They are worn to a point where there really isn't much fret at all left. It sounds ridiculously good though, I play through a Quad Cortex and my main preset is basically just copied from your pedalboard :D As in SVT + 8x10, Rat, Low end boost from EQ, Wah and so on. The SVT sound combined with a Rat is just insane with Warwick.
