On the topic of saving the wife or the baby during pregnancy, it's a very difficult topic. I understand Cynthia's point but I lean more towards the guys' answers. Yes, the wife carried the baby for 9 months and went through a lot during. But when it becomes a life-or-death situation, I can't imagine a husband being ready to choose to lose his wife/best friend when they can save them. They can always try for a child again in the future or lean towards adoption. But once your wife is gone, won't it kill you inside? I know I'd be lost without my partner if I didn't have him anymore - he's my bestest friend. My grandfather was lost and when my grandmother passed away, and it was heartbreaking to witness that. Now if the situation was different, say that my husband and (already born) child got into a serious accident, and I had to pick one to save, I'd probably have a harder time choosing.

day 2 of commenting this until it gets acknowledged :) i have some constructive feedback as someone who usually tends to listen off of spotify (i usually listen on my drive to and from work!) when mentioning your patreon, the clips/sneak peeks are great as a visual on youtube, but when listening to only audio, it's very confusing because you don't know what's going on and if it's actually part of the episode or not. perhaps maybe cut the clips out of the audio and only put the promo? or maybe insert some sort of whoosh or something lol to indicate returning back to the current episode. same thing with the sound of the intro. visually i LOVE it, but i am not 100% sure if it's needed for audio let me know what u think! ❤

The has been going around for a long time in Laos, Thailand etc in the Hmong community especially. It’s a thing where if the guy just thinks that she is pretty or just want her they can just go “bridenap” her and has to take her back to the guy’s house where they would do this chicken ceremony over your head taking away all the bad luck and bringing in the good luck for the newly couple. From today on it is still going around. Also it is known in the Hmong culture that when getting married the husband would have to pay the bride’s side about 5-7k has a thank you for letting him marry their daughter. People call it that the parents are basically “selling” their daughters.Wanna know more lmkk.

The whole “kidnapping to get married” happens in Hmong culture. Idk if there are other cultures that do this but it happens in Laos and even in America. Guys would forcibly drag women alone or with their cousins and brothers back to their homes and force the girl to get married to them. It also happens to men sometimes, its rare but i’ve seen men get kidnapped by women to be married. They’ll do all of that and the girls family will have to honor it, its rare for a family to deny the marriage.
